Nancy dee OBrien This is my 80th year, going to celebrate all year long and why not? This was absolutely the best dentists experience in my life time. Dr. Spencer Face was amazing. He explained everything he was doing as he was working on me. I have never in my entire life had that experienced. It was wonderful, calming made the visit much more enjoyable. Cant wait to go back in November. You will love his approach I guarantee that.

Anh Trinh The doctors and staff are fantastic. Dr. Face and Susanna are a great team when they worked on my fillings. They were super gentle with administering the anesthetic and talked me through everything. Highly recommended!

Dr. Face was very calm and direct, explained what his plan is to fix some teeth issues i had concerns about for awhile. I felt heard. which has given me confidence to come back and trust my teeth to Dr. Face. :)

Rachel Wallner Doctor and staff are very patient and friendly, I received good responses in return whatever questions I asked, very informative. Do feel I received good treatment every visit. After treatment, they also emailed me notes about after care, which is very helpful. The most important is that Dr Park did take his time to discuss with me what options he could do and how hes going to do, hes working with gentle hands. Im happy with my new crown, fillings and mouth hygiene. Theyre doing great job!

Pricing and insurance coverage is communicated up front. Am always seen shortly after I arrive for an appointment. Would recommend each Dr. Park to anyone. Thank you!

Jonathan Kruger I recently started seeing Dr. Bickel for some major work (crowns, deep cleaning, complex fillings, etc.) after many years of not having dental insurance. Im four sessions in, with a couple more to go, and so far Im very pleased. I wasnt expecting it to be painless, but I was surprised that it has been no worse than the regular cleanings and fillings Ive had at other practices in the past. I have to say, Im impressed by the effective use of up to date technology (3D scanner, soft tissue laser, UV curing, etc.). The tech isnt just there for marketing purposes, either (certain chiropractic offices come to mind). I didnt even know they had these devices until they pulled them out mid-procedure. Apart from the obvious technical expertise, what I appreciate most is Dr. Bickels focus and communication. He works very quickly and efficiently during a procedure, but takes as much time as needed to thoroughly answer questions and go over available options. As a patient, I found he was very tuned in to what I was experiencing. I would be thinking, "oh, thats uncomfortable, maybe I should say something," and before I do, hes picked up on the body language and is changing the angle or reaching for a bite block so I can relax my jaw. I definitely DO NOT get the sense that this is the sort of place that overworks/underpays their admin staff or has any sort of shady billing practices.

Michael Willingham This office participates in deceptive billing practices and what probably constitutes insurance fraud, including: 1. Upcoding their work (e.g. charging for a full retainer replacement when just recementing the existing retainer) 2. Refusing to submit claims to your dental insurance if you pay up front, even when they say they will. 3. Submitting things to the insurance that never took place, to see what they will cover. 4. Failing to refund you when you figure this out and call them out on it

Sam Gretz I have severe dental anxiety from a previous dentist. But, the staff at Phinney Ridge have been nothing but kind and accommodating! Dr. Bickel helped fix the issues from my previous dentist and Dr. Trinh is incredibly considerate and friendly. Highly recommend this practice!

Sara Alarcon I have been coming to this dental office for over 2+ years now and I just love it! A friend recommended it to me and Im so happy she did. The staff is incredible- they are kind, welcoming, and caring. I also love that they are open on Saturdays, which is incredibly helpful for a busy work schedule. I have recently been seeing Kristen on Saturdays and she is just a gem! She is lovely to talk with and always gives me truthful advice on how to best protect my teeth. At one point, the office had to reschedule one of my appointments- they told me well in advance and at my next appointment provided me with a gift card to apologize for the inconvenience! I thought it was a very thoughtful touch. The office itself is very clean and organized. Highly recommend if youre looking for a dentist!

Shane Tsui I had a very similar experience to what others have described here, and decided to share my story as more victims of this dentistry have come forward. I trusted the dentist’s recommendation to replace an “old” filling and crown — even though I had no pain or issues beforehand — and it turned into a nightmare. After the procedure, I was left in serious pain that they could not fix. I’ve had crowns done at multiple other locations before, but the procedure here was by far the most painful. The situation only got worse, and I eventually saw another dentist who confirmed that my nerve had been damaged and become extremely sensitive during the filling. In the end, I had to pay out of pocket for a root canal to fix the damage caused here

P (P) BEST DENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER! Love this dental office! From the moment that I called them to make an appointment to the interaction with every person that worked there—front desk, dental assistant, dentist…literally everyone was so warm and kind and helpful! So grateful for a positive experience during a moment of severe gum pain. Thanks to that team!

Mimi Sanchez I have pretty bad dental anxiety, so going to the dentist is never something I look forward to. After a really unpleasant experience at my last dentist in Seattle, my partner recommended Pinnacle Dental Care, and I’m so glad they did. The staff here is honestly wonderful. They got me in for an appointment in a very reasonable amount of time, and from the moment I arrived, everyone was super kind, non-judgmental, and just really accommodating. They even asked if I wanted to use the WiFi while I waited, which was such a thoughtful touch. The dental assistant was incredibly kind and made me feel comfortable right away. That made a huge difference for me. They also gave me some helpful tips and techniques to keep up with my dental care at home, which I really appreciated. Overall, I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’ve had bad dental experiences in the past or just want a kind and professional team, this is definitely the place to go.

Monique McFadden I had my first visit today at Smile Ballard and I was incredibly impressed! After having some other not-so-great experiences in Seattle, I landed here on the recommendation of my endodontist, and I was not disappointed. The office is clean, the staff is friendly and professional, and the dentist I saw is amazing. I had several issues to deal with in terms of crowns and fillings needing to be redone, and she spent a very nice amount of time with me explaining everything and giving me all my options.

Tamar Solomon It was my first visit today. My hygienist was superb (Erjon) and Dr. Allen went over everything very thoroughly. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. The front desk staff was also exceptionally professional and informative-giving me the cost of all the proposed dental work ahead of time.

Katrina Ive been coming here for years, and just had my cleaning which reminded me to post a review cause I love them and I want everyone to know. The staff here is just amazing and super kind. I originally came in due to a bigger issue, but have kept coming for my regular cleanings. They are understanding that we are all human and sometimes our best doesnt look as good as we want it to. I also love that they arent trying to give me a filling every single time Im there. They offer lots of solutions and recommend practices to help your overall mouth health which has been so helpful for me. Love them so much!

Charlie McDonald Professional, friendly and very skilled dentists and assistants. I have sensitive teeth and this is the only office Ive been to that hasnt had me writhing in the chair during a cleaning. The admin folks also do a great job of keeping everything on schedule -- Ive never had to spend more than five minutes in the waiting room ahead of an appointment. Its a great downtown location as well, and they validate for the Pacific Place garage, so parking is easy.

Michael Grant My dentist, Arman Abedi, recommended I wear an NTI-tss bite guard in early 2018, a decision that caused damage to my dental health. This device is known to cause an open bite in 5% of users—a condition where the front teeth no longer touch due to jaw shifting. This risk is well-documented, including on the manufactures website, and avoidable with proper monitoring during the first few months of use. However, I was never informed of this risk or monitored. I wore the device nightly, as instructed, for 18 months, attending regular cleanings with Dr. Abedi, and not once was the potential issue addressed. This could all have been avoided if in the first few months I was monitored for any jaw movement. At this point, I could have stopped wearing the device and the jaw would have returned to its normal position. By the time my condition worsened—leaving only one molar touching when I closed my mouth—I was switched to a full guard, with no acknowledgment that the NTI-tss device he recommended was the cause. I had to pay out-of-pocket for Botox injections to manage the resulting increased grinding I was experiencing, totaling nearly $10,000 over the next couple of years before I ended up getting jaw surgery. Insurance usually does not cover Botox injections for TMJ. It was only after consulting oral surgeons and TMJ specialists that I learned the NTI-tss was the likely cause of my open bite, how it could have been avoided and how common this is for people who wear this type of device. This lack of transparency and care has left me with ongoing damage. Over the past six years, I’ve endured severe grinding that has damaged my back teeth, spent thousands on Botox and medical appointments, undergone a difficult double jaw surgery, and am now two years into Invisalign post operative care. My jaw is still misaligned. The most frustrating part is that this could have been avoided. Risks associated with the NTI-tss are clearly stated on the manufacturer’s website and many others—likely due to the resulting lawsuits—but Arman Abedi either failed to inform me, didn’t know or chose not to. This negligence has cost me nearly $20,000 (including the surgery and orthodontic cost) and years of pain and treatment. I can’t emphasize this last point enough, literal years of pain, discomfort and treatment due to one person’s negligence, Arman Abedi. Ironically, about a year into using the device, I was informed that I could wear an additional device on my top teeth but was warned that it might cause an open bite. I was adamantly against risking such an outcome, yet I had unknowingly been doing exactly that for a year simply because I wasn’t informed. While I liked Roosevelt Dental and had a great hygienist, I cannot recommend Arman Abedi due to his negligence. Seattle has plenty of dentists—choose one who prioritizes your health and fully informs you of potential risks. Avoid Arman Abedi, unless you’re willing to risk significant harm due to negligence. Posted are images of my jaw after surgery. I was recommended to wear the device in early 2018, I was 33 years old at the time. The surgery took place in October 2022, and I am still undergoing post-operative orthodontic care today. I was very lucky with my teeth up to this point, never needing braces or any type of orthodontic care as a child, and other than minor grinding, had very healthy teeth.

Afsoon Fazeli I cannot recommend Dr. Abedi enough! I am a dentist myself and have been a patient of Dr. Abedi for more than a decade. His expertise, dedication to patient care, and genuine compassion sets him apart. Dr. Arman Abedi and his staff go above and beyond to ensure every patient feels comfortable and well cared for, and their attention to detail is truly remarkable. Its a pleasure to collaborate with such an amazing professional and I have the utmost confidence in his ability to provide exceptional dental care. If yous looking for an honest dentist who truly puts patients first, Dr. Arman Abedi is the one!

Sabrina Pham I had the pleasure of seeing KAREN WANG and I can confidently say she is one of the best dentists I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, she made me feel completely at ease with her gentle demeanor and kind approach. She took the time to explain everything clearly, which helped ease any anxiety I had. Not only is she efficient, but her skill with her hands is impressive – the procedure I had done was smooth, quick, and completely pain free. I left the office feeling confident and well-cared for. Highly recommend her for anyone looking for a compassionate and skilled dentist!

Srishti Bhalla I had a rather unusual experience during my recent visit. I was surprised to have two different hygienists during the same session. I had just gotten comfortable with the first one, who was excellent, but then she left without any explanation, and an assistant took over. I wasnt informed this would happen, which felt disorienting. Unfortunately, the assistant who did my flossing seemed inexperienced and was not very gentle. I understand that working with a small mouth and a stubborn tongue can be challenging, but care and sensitivity are important, and that was lacking in this case. Ive been a patient at this clinic for nearly two years, and I do want to raise some concerns about your cancellation policy. Expecting two business days notice when youre closed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays feels quite unreasonable. My appointment was booked six months in advance; plans change, and giving notice two actual business days in advance isn’t always realistic. I appreciate that the fee was waived this time, but I found the policy confusing and inflexible. I called on Friday, but you were closed, and then I called first thing Monday to reschedule a Tuesday appointment, but the person I spoke with was not understanding at all. Another point, the hygienists often recommend add-ons like laser treatment or fluoride, but the costs aren’t clearly explained. During this visit, the hygienist was about to proceed with a fluoride treatment without confirming if it was covered by insurance. I had to ask, and only then did she check and find out it wasn’t covered. I think it’s important that patients are told both the benefits and the costs of any recommended treatments up front. Otherwise, it comes across as upselling, which is not the experience anyone wants in a healthcare setting. I’m sharing this feedback in the hopes that it helps improve communication and transparency for future visits.

Kenya Pelletier A shout out to Dr Larhs and restorative hygienist Sophie. Both Dr Larhs and Sophie were regularly checking on me with genuine interest as to how I was doing throughout my filling. They both picked up on the more subtle cues of discomfort and adjusted. Sophie was especially attentive and understanding when I said something was uncomfortable. She would adjust her method, angle or ease up on pressure when I made it known that I was uncomfortable. Her patience and attitude were unaffected by the fact that I was the last appointment of the night. It’s clear that Dr Lahrs is excellent at what she does as she is very quick but gentle at the same time. She prioritizes your care by making it clear what the necessary treatments are this year, why you need them and what treatments can wait. She treats you as a person and not a paycheck.

Vale Bixcul I discovered holistic dentistry through my ND after ongoing health issues tied to three infected root canals. From the start, the team was warm and welcoming, and Dr. Cziao took the time to answer all my questions. The infection was more severe than expected, but he never rushed. He took his time to clean out all infection and explained each step to keep me at ease. I had a ceramic implant placed and received a Vitamin C IV during surgery which definitely helped with healing. One of the staffs even followed up the next day to make sure I was okay. Truly exceptional care.

Rosalie Price Great experience! I am surprised of how patient and knowledgeable that Dr. Cziao is. He has taught me not just how to improve my mouth but also how to care for my health. Not even my regular doctor has done this much for me, which means a lot, especially as someone living with Lyme disease. Definitely A+!

Della L I never thought I’d be raving about a dentist. He’s by far the most gentle and caring doctor I’ve met. When I first came in, my mouth was in poor shape, and I was also dealing with Lyme disease. So one can imagine how challenging recovery could’ve been for me. After my first implant with Dr. Cziao, not only did he provide aftercare on how to heal the implant area, but he also guided me on supplements and recovery support. This surgery turned out to be by far the smoothest and recovery I’ve ever had.

Vicky Roote I came in needing an emergency extraction which Dr. Koh and the rest of the staff handled, start to finish, in 70 minutes. S. Alexandra Egert I hadnt visited a dentist in several years but a recent sharp pain made it necessary to finally go, so I was very, very scared. Id heard through word-of-mouth that Cap Hill Dental Group ("with the yellow doors!") was a great place to go if you had dental anxiety, and that advice was definitely accurate. It was very easy to make an appointment online and see someone right away, and I never waited more than 5 minutes in the lobby for my consultation and procedure visits. Everyone was incredibly kind and understanding, even when I asked dumb questions or cried a bit out of fear. They gave me a stress ball to squeeze during my procedure and even offered me a blanket haha. Dr. Koh and Lena are the MVPs. And Harper at the front desk, too! Thank you all for your help! Now that the immediate pain is dealt with, I look forward to my follow-up visit and becoming a regular for future cleanings.
