Larry Childs This was my first visit to Woodland Dental. I was warmly received and welcomed as a new patient by the receptionist. It’s a very inviting and professional environment. I was highly impressed by my hygienist Libby. She was very friendly, explained everything, and very thorough in her work. After not having a dental checkup for far too long I expected a “lecture” about flossing, etc. That didn’t happen and she was extremely kind and positive about what I had been doing with great suggestions on how to improve my oral health. Esprit Dunn LOVE this dentist office. My daughter has sensory processing disorder and I was so nervous about the dentist. The front desk, hygienists, and Dr. Sakai are all so great with my daughter. They take their time, ask for consent from her before touching or starting new tasks. They explain what theyre doing before they do it. The hygienist shows my daughter the tools on her hands first, then move to her mouth without turning them on, and then turns them on. It works well for her. If you look on their website, Dr. Sakai and his staff have extra education and training to work with high-needs kids (autism, SPD, etc.). My daughter has been going here for two and a half years. I recommend them to everyone!

Rubye D I was so blessed that as a teen/young adult, I had an amazingly knowledgeable & skilled dentist who kept up with scientific advances - not just about teeth, but as the health of the mouth affects the entire body. I was deeply grieved when he passed away (at over 80). That office felt like family & when he was gone, I was adrift. I’ve tried several offices & dentist since then. Though others were certainly competent, I never felt truly at home with any of them. I am overjoyed to report that I’ve found another of that amazing caliber (and maybe even a bit more fun)! I’ve been with Dove Family Dentistry for several years now and I have nothing but praise for every single member of the staff that has served me! Their workmanship is second to none! I was enormously pleased when I visited a dental specialist (specializing in sleep) & he admitted the work completed in this office was so well done that it wasn’t easy for him to spot! They’ve given me choices but always taken my decision without trying to “upsell” ANYTHING!! I was truly “sold” when Dr. VanTramp assured me that (expensive) procedures that two other (independent) dentists had told me would be required to save several of my front teeth would NOT be necessary! Lately I’ve had to finally accept a couple of crowns (eeek!) but found that in their gentle, efficient and knowledgeable hands, it was really NO BIG DEAL!! Honestly, if you appreciate fun & happy people working with excellence, I don’t believe you can do better than visit Dr. VanTramp and his tremendous staff!

Dr. Wetterhus good dentist whos always concerned about my comfort. Yesterday, I saw Carrie who was filling in for my usual hygienist, Mary. Carrie was was friendly and kind. She was also concerned about my comfort, and did an excellent job examining and cleaning my teeth.

Alexis Clinic violated ADA LAWS!!! Upon arriving for a scheduled appointment, the front desk staff made the patient so uncomfortable that the patient walked out. The receptionist lacks training and legal knowledge. She claimed a spouse needs a medical POA to help assist with answering any medical history information. Pt. informed the office via paperwork that they suffer from cognitive and developmental delays, that having his partner there for medical advocacy was necessary. This is where this office violated ada laws! Not only did the office deplete a disabled individuals social and emotional battery, they chased him away without being seen. Would absolutely NOT recommend this clinic if you are disabled and require any advocacy. This office will speak out of turn, cut you off, and tell you to come back with a notarized document that ISNT state required. Edit to add: The receptionist insisted that helping answer pt. Medical hx violated hipaa laws. HIPAA does not apply if a domestic partner is only providing medical history or other relevant information to a healthcare provider and not requesting any protected health information (PHI) about the patient. HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulates how healthcare providers disclose patient health information, not how they receive it. A support person, such as a domestic partner, can share medical history, symptoms, or other details without needing special authorization. However, if they also want to receive health information or discuss the patients care with the provider, HIPAA rules would then apply, requiring patient consent. Under the ADA Title III, healthcare providers (including dental offices) must make reasonable modifications in policies, practices, and procedures to accommodate individuals with disabilities. Denying a support person’s assistance without a valid reason (such as a legal restriction) may be considered a failure to provide reasonable accommodation. I WILL be filing a formal complaint to the Washington state human rights commission. Your office has cameras, the encounter is documented, and this can not be ignored.

They have an exceptionally extensive pre-registration process, but everything is on-line and manageable. Dr. Chacon provided a quick but thorough evaluation and provided his recommendation for treatment. Should we need further services, I’d happily return.

Chloe Brick While the front desk staff and dental assistants at Light Dental Studios in Puyallup are friendly, my experiences with the dentist have been consistently frustrating. The biggest issue is that she does not listen to me, even when I express pain or concerns. 1st visit: My initial cleaning was the most painful I’ve ever had. The way the dentist used the tools made me wince every time she touched my gums, but she didn’t adjust her technique or acknowledge my discomfort. 2nd visit: I had multiple fillings done. During the procedure, I told the dentist I could still feel in the upper left part of my mouth. She shrugged off my concern and continued anyway, leaving me in discomfort for the remainder of the filling. 3rd visit: One of the fillings from my second visit had become loose. I called to schedule an appointment and had to wait a week to be seen. When I arrived, I explained that the filling had shifted (it was shredding my floss and causing mild discomfort), but the dentist insisted it was fine and did nothing. 4th visit: A month later, the filling fell out. The dentist couldn’t even locate the hole in my tooth until I pointed it out—despite it being obvious to both me and my husband. You’d think she would have notes on where the filling had been placed. Once again, I told her I wasn’t fully numb before she started drilling. She ignored me and began anyway, causing a sharp, cold pain that made me jump in the chair. Only then did she decide to inject more numbing. After redoing the filling, my bite felt misaligned, but she sent me home uncomfortable and dissatisfied. While checking the height of the filling, I also heard a cracking sound in my tooth. She assured me the filling hadn’t cracked but didn’t explain what caused the noise or sensation. At every visit, the dentist has ignored my concerns, did not take the necessary precautions to prevent pain, and failed to provide attentive care. I no longer trust her with my dental health. If you want a provider who listens to their patients, I’d suggest looking elsewhere

A Hawkins If I could leave a zero star I would. My son had his consultation and was told by Dr. Abei he will need to be in braces for 2 1/2 years. The only concern the doctor had was that he would need his wisdom teeth pulled. So approximately a year in, we went to an oral surgeon to have all 4 removed. Approximately a year later it was time for the braces to be removed. I immediately noticed his teeth flared out. It didn’t look like he spent 2 1/2 years in braces. When I mentioned it to Dr. Abei, she said to see if the retainer will adjust it. The next visit it didn’t and I mentioned my concerns. She then said he needs to had some teeth removed. I’m confused because why is she saying remove more teeth after the braces are off. Something wasn’t right so I decided to go and get two different consultation done. They both stated he didn’t need teeth removed. They said his teeth should’ve been shaved. I asked for a letter stating what was recommended to show the Dr. Abei. She said she can do that but it will be considered another treatment. I asked why would I have to pay if I voiced my concerns from the beginning. They are now saying after my insurance I would have to pay 2800 plus 18 months in braces. I paid 3100 the first time around after insurance. This is ridiculous definitely find a place that knows what they are doing from the beginning. If not you will be spending more money.

I will say I’ve taken my grandma to many dentists around the area, but can confirm this place has the highest caliber of customer service. The doctors and staff are amazing! Yasser A Comfort dental has always been the choice. This location started well. But after my last visit I was very disappointed, seems like they have a new dentist that just wants to just over charge you as much as they can and also over charge your insurance. After a two hour wait, on the chair for a scheduled cleaning appointment. I was told by the doc that I seriously need “deep cleaning” $1500 dollar out of pocket estimate after charging insurance. I scheduled an appointment and requested for regular cleaning, the doc stated rudely, “No! You dont qualify.” So guess what, I took my business elsewhere and I am glad I did. I went to another Dentist that did a regular cleaning, did not think I needed all that, and smirked hearing the story and my experience here

I love them all especially the dentist dr blacker he and his assistant are amazing great place to go for any dental needs especially if you have any anxiety about going to the dentist. Jeffrey Wyrwitzke Im a new patient at Evergreen Oral Surgery in Puyallup. I am quite impressed with this clinic. I was contacted by them in a timely manner after being referred by my dentist. The staff...including Dr. Wightman...have been extremely friendly, caring, professional, and proficient. At the time of my referral appointment, Dr. Wightman thoroughly explained the planned procedure with me and again on the day of surgery. I received easy to understand post-op instructions upon leaving the clinic after my procedure and picked up my pre-ordered prescriptions. I received a call from the clinic the day after to check up on me. Start to finish, this is a professionally and efficiently operated practice. They have my complete confidence to take care of me.

Mark Uncangco I had a great experience with Evergreen Oral Surgery. From making the appointment, the consultation, and the procedure everyone was friendly and informative. From the frontdesk staff to the assistants and Doctor everyone made me feel comfortable and made sure all my questions were answered. They even call you the day after the surgery to make sure you are doing okay and to answer any question you might have. I cant say enough good stuff about this place.

michelle orr The staff is always so sweet and understanding (I’m chronically late to everything despite my best efforts) and the office is clean and cozy. Everybody is always happy and smiling, which isn’t always the case at other places. Before finding SHFD, I had been going to an office in Graham. The dentist was far from empathetic and only seemed to care about bringing in as many patients as possible. Dental work in general is expensive, even with insurance, but SHFD has given me several discounts and I never feel judged for not being able to afford something. The only thing that kinda sucks is they’ve upped the cost for Nitrous Oxide gas. The gas is optional I guess, but for some people like myself, it’s a necessity. Other than that, I can’t say enough good things about this office. I’m so grateful that they have one in Puyallup. Thank you SHFD!

Jes I was a patient of Dr. Sutherland at the Smiles office as a child and when I decided to return to Smiles as an adult for clear aligners, I didn’t know if it would be the same warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Well, it’s quite literally the most kind and welcoming environment you could possibly hope for. Even one of the staff members from when I was a child is still there, so that is a good sign in itself. Dr. Larson is super nice and makes sure you are comfortable and fully understanding what they are doing. I was also relieved to see that they do work on a number of adults as well.
