Melinda Patten Highly recommend!! The first time Janis cut my hair I wanted bangs-which I hadn’t had in years. I really appreciate that she talked me though it to make sure that I had thought about how much of a change it would be, and to make sure that I really wanted them before she did it. That was 6 years ago and I haven’t gone anywhere else since! Janis is very thoughtful and professional. The salon is so cute, always very clean and I really appreciate the extra pro cautions they’ve taken due to covid. I never stress about getting my hair done at tangles because I know it’s gonna be cute and that I’ll love it. I’m a dedicated client and will continue to be!

Guardian M/X Paid twice for her mess up, she said she doesn’t work for free. First time the braids fell out within 3hrs and lines were not straight. Second time she said I took a shower with them, which I did not. This time again the lines are not straight, and one of the braids is falling out. Would not recommend. I understand if you cannot braid straight, but here is proof that the second time you charged me for work that didn’t last, your warranty work didn’t last either. This is after 12hrs. Should last longer than that, don’t lie about your crappy service. Maybe try not to rush on your warranty work, not even warranty work since it didn’t last and you charged me for your mess up.

Go check her out! (I had my dreads started by a different barber so if the lines dont look straight in these pictures thats why. Not her fault.)

Brian Sibley Leila has been cutting my hair for years now. I keep going back because she does a great job every time, but more importantly because shes just a real, honest, authentic person. I always leave the salon feeling better about myself than when I walked in. Bonus points because she has great taste in music. 10/10 would recommend.

April Costantino This place has it all! It has the CUTEST decor, so vibrant and eclectic without feeling cluttered. Its also a single chair salon, so its just you and the stylist, which is quite nice and feels less overwhelming than being in a large salon with tons of conversations and noises surrounding you. Speaking of the stylist, Leila is incredible! She is friendly and funny and did a fantastic job on my hair. Ive gone a few times, the first time was for a cut and color (I went back to brunette after being blonde for years). I wanted really dark hair, but not black and let me tell you, she nailed it! The color looks so natural and I absolutely love it! Even as it fades, it remains a good color and hasnt washed out very quickly, which is fantastic. Leila suggested some hair products for my hair that I have been loving, as well. I always appreciate when a stylist takes the time to recommend specific hair products for MY hair. I highly recommend booking an appointment with Leila at Salon Festa! Oh, and she even offers little snacks while youre there!

Anneka Deacon Golden West Salon is a beautiful, spacious, welcoming, oasis overlooking downtown and Bellingham bay. I was so pleased to find a balayage appointment available within days! Jennifer took the time to understand what I wanted and to make sure we both felt good about the result (both the color and cut). Liv I hadnt had my hair cut by someone else since 2020, and I was super anxious about my visit. Ive always dealt with a lot of anxiety surrounding my hair, and have felt completely unheard during numerous visits to other salons. Shasta alleviated all of that. She asked me exactly what I wanted, explained to me some of the limitations of my hair and how we could navigate that, and then she took the time to explain exactly what she was going to do. All while being absolutely delightful, funny, and kind. I was going from a shoulder-length side shave to a pixie cut, so it was a pretty massive change. I received the best haircut Ive ever had in my life, and went from being super embarrassed about the state of my hair to loving how I looked. Shasta was so awesome! Madi Kaatz absolutely love this place! Shasta is an artist with the scissors and I don’t say that lightly. I have really thick hair and when I first came in it was very long too but Shasta cut and layered it perfectly. I’ve gone there twice now and plan on returning. Everyone is super nice and I really appreciate that they take there COVID rules seriously.
