5 /5 Josh Hartmann: I thought I had my finances figured out but decided to take a meeting with Riley after a friend referred me over. Our first couple conversations were definitely eye opening! You really dont know what you dont know. I tend to get caught up in headlines around when to buy and sell so its nice having a professional who can manage my investments with a disciplined strategy and reliable index funds. I also was missing out on some big tax benefits that should help with saving for a home big time. Now Im regretting waiting this long to use a CFP but better late than never. I was as skeptical as anyone but trust me, take an initial appointment, youll only benefit.

5 /5 J & B Clark: Weve been working with Riley since 2020. Hes helped us to get a clear picture of where we are financially and how to get to our various goals (from home buying - which we accomplished, to retirement). Hes always super responsive when we have questions that come up about things like insurance changes, etc. Hes very calm and balanced in his advice. Working with someone who is fee for service (instead of "free" financial planners - no such thing as free!) will prevent you from getting burned by someone who is making a commission from everything they sell to you (this happened to us before we started working with Riley). Its an investment, but has proven to pay off.

When my longtime financial advisor left the firm, I initially made the decision to follow him. But before I could act on it, I was contacted by Julianne, who had just taken over my account. She pressured me heavily to stay with First Pacific and, after several emotionally charged conversations, convinced me to remain. I later came to regret that decision. Julianne spent much of our time making inappropriate, personal remarks about the advisor who had left. She told me—repeatedly—that he didn’t have my best interests in mind. This, despite the fact that I had worked with him for five years with excellent results. Meanwhile, she had known me for less than three days. That kind of statement wasn’t just presumptuous—it was wildly unprofessional and out of line. The entire situation felt like being dragged into a workplace breakup. She took petty shots, fixated on irrelevant details, and stirred up drama that had nothing to do with me. I wasn’t there to pick sides—I was there for financial guidance. Instead, I was manipulated and made to feel that leaving would be a major financial risk. The emotional toll was significant. I lost sleep, and a special trip I took to New Zealand was overshadowed by anxiety and stress. All of this because I was pressured into doubting a trusted advisor and pulled into office politics I never asked to be part of. Operationally, the firm wasn’t impressive either. They shut down completely on Fridays during the summer, leaving only four days a week for client service. Communication was slow and the overall environment felt disorganized and reactive. Eventually, I left—and followed my advisor to his new firm. That decision brought immediate peace of mind and turned out to be one of the best choices I’ve made. First Pacific may work for others, but they showed me a level of unprofessionalism I won’t forget.

Harlow wealth management had the clearest and most concise answers for me regarding when a I could comfortably retire and how much income I could collect every month as income. They also gave me accurate numbers of how much I will have at any age up until death to pass onto my children. The service is absolutely top notch. Every person I have dealt with has been very accommodating and quick to act on my needs. I also would like to add that they charge the lowest fees!!
