LA Fitness - Seattle
LA Fitness
Nina Regan: I joined LA Fitness recently and have found the facility well kept, and the staff very welcoming and friendly. Colleens classes are challenging, informative, and fun. And I appreciated the free personal training session I received from Melissa. Melissa spent more time than expected with me and provided lots of useful information. I was surprised by the hard sell to sign up for regular sessions and will consider them when I am ready.
The Seattle Gym - Seattle
Via Fox: Good gym, albeit a bit of an odd layout. The staff is friendly, the machines are a little older but if one breaks its often fixed quickly (compared to other gyms). Price is alright considering the economy. Over all Id recommend joining.
Urban Playground - Seattle
Mr.S: Overall similar to a gym at a big hotel Limited equipment, quality of equipment is mid grade i.e. light to medium light duty benches with minimal adjustments machines are similar light to medium light duty with minimal adjustability . Just two sets of free weights cardio machines are ok nothing here is premium. Not big gets crowded. Owners and staff are nice, just a small gym.
Planet Fitness - Seattle
Planet Fitness
victor echeverri: I have been coming to this planet fitness for four months so far and the whole time the water fountain has been begging to have the filter replaced, now its not working all together, this gym doesnt even have the most basic amenity for a gym, water. Ill be making the further drive to Bellevue from now on.
Anytime Fitness - Seattle
Ron Moorhead: A terrific place to receive one on one personal training. I highly recommend James Moran for your training sessions. He came highly recommended from a friend and I see why. Clearly, he love what he does. Sincere, professional and knowledgeable training sessions, delivered with great expertise. Most of all he is invested in insuring I achieve my goals in a timely fashion. Thank you, James and Anytime Fitness!!
Northwest Strong - Seattle
Nikita Daharia: I have had such a wonderful experience at this gym. The team is incredibly supportive, and Trevor and Colin are truly amazing. They always push me in the right way, explain everything clearly, and make each session something I genuinely look forward to. I cannot wait to be back for every workout. Highly recommend.

Devin: Came here today on a guest pass. I was planning on signing up for a membership after today’s visit. Unfortunately, there are quite a few aspects that need improving before I’d do so. Positives: -The two staff members working at reception were very friendly and helpful. -I loved the layout of the weights areas with semi-private ā€œalcovesā€ to work out in. -The old school, industrial architecture and exposed brick is very cool. -The whole facility is very spacious and didn’t feel crowded at all despite quite a few people being there. Areas for improvement: -The men’s sauna (one of the main reasons I’d want to join) was barely warm due to the poorly installed glass door that has a large gap. A few members in there said they had complained about it, but it still hadn’t been fixed. -The sauna had a clump of disgusting hair on the floor; a member mentioned it had been there for multiple days. -The steam room was out of service. Talking to members, apparently it’s been like this for over a month due to a malfunctioning component. -The general cleanliness of the main men’s locker room wasn’t great. Dirty floor, showers, etc. If management addresses these issues, I would love to become a member and update this to a more positive review.
Anytime Fitness - Renton
Emoni Cashay: The manager here was extremely rude. I called on Veterans Day because my gym was closed, to see if I could get a day pass. The manager answered. I forgot his name, but it was a Hispanic man. I was told that I could come in for a day pass. It was about 11 AM. Mind you I have never been to this gym before I just know it’s by my house and the name says Anytime fitness so you would assume that most of these gyms have day passes. Conveniently enough when I pulled up and walked into the gym someone was walking in so I was able to catch the door on the way in, but I did notice that there was a button on the door so I’m assuming that’s for people who don’t have a membership. I walked in. The gym was pretty empty. Looked like a very nice gym. definitely was very interested and excited to start my fitness journey here as I approach the manager’s office. He was sitting in the office and the first thing he said to me was Ohh you were the one that called? How did you get in here? I told him the situation and he proceeded to tell me that he was going to fine the persons account that let me in. Because apparently, if you’re a member at this gym, you’re not allowed to let anybody else in that doesn’t have a membership in to the gym. He’s going on about how people are not supposed to let people in and he’s going to charge the personā€˜s account $50 and talk to the regional manager and I’m sitting there like dude. I’m not trying to get anybody in trouble. The door was slightly open I was able to walk in like come on now... anyways long story short I’m sitting in his office. He’s trying to get the day pass ready. Then proceeds to tell me all of a sudden that the system is not working and that I need cash I’m like funny well I don’t have any cash on me. I could probably go home and get cash, but I mean if you could like double check to see if you can try to get the system to work that would be great i only have card.. I really don’t wanna have to go back home. He ends up not able to get the system running then I’m like OK thts fine ill go grab cash from home. I grab my stuff and I’m about to leave and he’s like ā€œyeah well actually our gym doesn’t even open until 1 o’clock anyway, I know it’s called Anytime fitness but we’re not really open anytime anywaysā€ so I’m like Well, why did you tell me I could get a day pass over the phone, this was never ever mentioned? automatically I just was like you know what I’m done talking to this man I’m gonna get out of here. definitely rubbed me the wrong way and ruined my impression for this gym. I would recommend trying a different gym where the customer service is not a 1 out of 10. Gym does look very nice and quiet tho. But the manager is rude and unprofessional.

Emerald City Athletics - Wallingford
Kim Smith: My expectations for this gym were far far exceeded! The Wallingford facility is so clean, well laid out, and has a super friendly and welcoming staff. Shout out especially to instructor Amelia! She is, with no doubt, the best fitness instructor Ive ever had in my 60+ years! She is contagiously enthusiastic, engaging, and thoughtful about providing alternatives and feedback throughout class. I almost missed today, but went to class because she makes fitness class (Champions) not only fun, but also an excellent workout! I hope her boss reads this!
PRO Club Seattle - Seattle
Brad Gilmer: I’ve been a loyal member since 2017, but not anymore. A San Francisco-based company, Bay Club, has taken over and ruined this gym. Increases in dues, takeaways from amenities, reductions in hours, and insisting on charging me for a FULL 60 days of ongoing membership after notifying them I want to cancel. No wonder people are leaving!
