2 /5 Esther Davis Dodge: When our home suffered several water losses and a house fire and we put in claims for each. We needed help and didnt know any better. Our insurance company dropped us on June 8th 2022. I started working with Brian McNaughton at Insurance Guys to find a new provider. He advised that we submit an application to the Washington FAIR Plan. He helped us do that. We had an inspection, and were denied because we needed to submit build back plans and a completion date. Had Brian understood the requirements better we could have avoided this step. It took months to acquire the build back plans and completion date, but when I received those I emailed them over to Brian so we could submit a new application to WA FAIR. That was on October 21st, 2022. Since then I have followed up with him in emails and phone messages on Oct 24th, Nov 8th, Nov 11th, Nov 15, Dec 6, Dec 9, etc...but he didnt respond. Nothing. Once a woman, whom I assumed was the receptionist, picked up and said that he was on the other line. I left a message with her, but he never got back to me. I even had Sharon, over at the WA FAIR Plan office give him a call to see if she could get him to answer the phone. She reported back to me that he answered the phone and he told her he would give me a call that same day, but he never did. I have decided to find another agent, because his lack of customer service is causing our home to not be insured, putting our home at risk. I cant wait for Brian any longer. Because of Brians lack in responding we have needlessly been exposed and with out home insurance for two months! I request that he give a legitimate explanation and an apology for ignoring me. Matthew Inman: I became a client of Wilson Insurance Agency about 20 years ago. Randy Cox has been a consistently fantastic agent to work with. Personal, conscientious service always. Unfortunately, after the merger with Western, service declined significantly. Not Randys service, but service in general, through Western. I have transferred my households home and auto, and my Moms auto to Shea Insurance and have helped my Father in Law and an elderly neighbor get set up through Shea as well.The final straw was this last summer. I was trying to help my elderly neighbor set up a new policy after her current policy had been cancelled due to a fly-over that detected foliage above her roof. Numerous calls and an email were not returned. When Chris finally called me back, he was cordial, but not ultimately helpful. He did not follow through on the the things he said he would do in the call. He did not return my calls or email after that, and the August 8th deadline I told him my neighbor had, came and went.

Eric McMurtrey: PEMCO wont insure because of wildfire risk. New home were purchasing is in an area that hasnt had a wildfire since the Spokane fire of 1889. Would have loved to bundle our Home and Auto, but looks like we will be dropping auto and going with a different insurer all together. Your loss not mine. I wonder how many auto policy holders will do the same. Not really a good way to sustain customer revenue.

Ron G: In the beginning this place was great. I had no complaints, up until recently. I cancelled all of my services on September 2nd and was told my Auto and Renters were indeed cancelled, but the umbrella coverage I had needed to have a "request" for cancellation sent off. On September 13th, I was charged (on autopayment) for the Umbrella coverage that had been cancelled on the 2nd of the month. So, in those days since I cancelled, my cancellation was NOT processed through the so called "request." I phoned the companies 800 number as this was a Sunday. They validated the cancellation was sent. When asked who this was sent too, they said the insurance agent I was set up through. They then sent a second "request" to have this cancelled. Now, on September 14th, I called the office. They told me they had received the cancellation and it was sent to the underwriter, due to it "being in an old system they cannot just cancel". Sounds like no one wants to take ownership of what really happened. I feel like this money was illegally taken from my account as my account was cancelled and should not have been billed anything. Whether this was an agency issue or underwriter issue, this should not have happened. Passing the blame really shows the lack of professionalism to the customer. The blame is on AmFam as a whole, regardless who cause this issue.

Julie Morris: In the beginning they were wonderful. East to get ahold of someone during office hours, quick to do vehicle changes. Good communication. THEN the carrier we were with quit carrying insurance in Washington. I called a month ahead of time to set up new insurance. The person answering the phone told me they were busy and were contacting customers a week or two before the actual expiration date. Well, between work and life and a vacation, I checked dates and found we had expired already. I called and go no call back that day. I procured quick insurance from another company. I called them again on my next day off. The person answering the phone sounded contrite, apologized over and over and assured me she would email me quotes and call me back when she sent them. It’s been crickets since then. They don’t even answer the phone for me now. NOT a way to run a business. Super sad because I used to recommend them to everyone I know. Now I have zero faith in the. I even sent a message through their website and have heard nothing.
