Nicole Davis: Anytime fitness is a great gym for the price. They have a variety of equipment and it’s all well maintained and kept clean. The staff was super helpful signing up and is always friendly and there when I need them. Basic gym with good prices and good location.
The Coalition - Fitness Community Gym - Spokane
Amy Bumpus: Working out at The Coalition Fitness Community has been an incredibly positive experience. The workouts are challenging, the coaches are encouraging, observant and able to offer suggestions to make each exercise as effective as possible. I’m grateful to have found this place!
Spokane Fitness Center - Spokane Valley

Brian Mclain: Great facility, lots of equipment spread throughout, friendly staff. Only thing to make it five star would be provide more plates. When it’s busy I feel like I spend at least half my time looking for plates and waiting for equipment.

John Brooks: I’ve been both a member and a former personal trainer at this gym, and it’s clear the problems start with leadership. The owner recently confronted me aggressively in the parking lot after nearly causing an accident by running a stop sign right outside the gym. Instead of taking responsibility, he got defensive, postured like he wanted to fight, and acted completely unprofessional. That’s not how a business owner should treat anyone — especially a paying member. The manager isn’t much better. When I worked here, I was fired for trying to stop a group of kids from sneaking in for free — friends of the kids running the front desk. That kind of behavior and favoritism says a lot about how this place operates. The facility itself has been under construction for months with no visible progress, and most of the equipment is outdated and worn out. I’m in the gym five days a week, so this isn’t a one-off complaint — it’s consistent frustration from someone who’s there regularly. I’ve also heard the same complaints from plenty of other members, and the owner has a long-standing reputation in the community for being exactly this type of person. I only stay because I prepaid for a year and have a few months left, but once that’s up, I’m gone. This place badly needs new leadership, updated equipment, and a serious change in attitude toward its members.
Hardcore Gym Spokane - Spokane
Erin Sheldon: Absolutely impressed with this amazing old school vibe of a gym with excellent equipment and energy. Love love love! Motivational quotes on the walls, framed bodybuilder signed pics, bodybuilding tv playing, equipment that hits right—excellent gym. Highly recommend.

Elyse Harvey: Janessa is a certified personal trainer at South Spokane MUV, and has been my workout partner for the past 6 months. She has always been encouraging and pushed me when I needed the push. So grateful for her and her knowledge, she’s taught me a lot and I’ve built so much confidence! Can’t recommend her enough.

Steven Llang: I’ve been coming to MUV Fitness for about a year now, and for a while, it felt like the staff didn’t really notice me. But that changed when I met Jada. She’s been incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive—her energy genuinely shifted my whole perspective on this gym. Out of all the gyms I’ve been to, MUV now feels like the most welcoming environment, and that’s 100% because of her. She makes a real difference here!
SCE Fitness - Spokane
Ed Harrison: I started training here to prepare for an ultra Spartan, and I can honestly say this place is a game-changer. I’ve struggled in other races before, always hitting the same walls and coming up short. KJay helped me break through every one of those issues, both physically and mentally. It’s more than just the workouts. I’ve learned things about pacing, mindset, recovery, and grit that carried me through the hardest parts of the ultra. KJay will teach you, not just push you. And the members? The energy, positivity, and support in this place are unreal. It’s one thing to train somewhere; it’s another to feel like the entire room wants to see you win. I ended up performing better than I ever expected, and I know it’s because of the training and the community here. If you’re looking for a place that lifts you up while it pushes you forward…this is it
PARKFIT Athletic Club, North Park - Spokane
Jeff Spray: As tennis player this club has gone steadily downhill over the 4 years I have been a member. The lack of professionalism of getting the court cleaner ready while people are playing, to the reduction of tennis courts without addressing the noise of pickleball in an indoor environment is a complete lack of respect for the tennis playing members of the club. They try to make it up by saying we can play at the club in the valley, which I was already paying to use. There has been no real response to the many other players that have made similar comments. I understand the economics of fitting 16 pickleball players on a court that only has four players, but the continual decrease of service is disappointing. And after reading other recent reviews it appears that it isn’t limited to tennis, as other member reviews are regarding receiving lower levels of service as well.
Planet Fitness - Spokane

James V: My partner and I have been regular visitors to this gym for about a year now. We appreciate its proximity to our home and enjoy the company of most of the other patrons. However, there are occasional challenges. Some individuals tend to occupy multiple machines at the same time, reserving equipment by leaving dirty rags, bottles, or articles of clothing behind. At times, one person will use more than three machines for up to 30 minutes, which is quite frustrating. Another concern I have is with the staff. Whenever I visit, the employees, including the managers, are often seen huddled together with their faces buried in their phones. They may look up occasionally, but they quickly avert their gazes without acknowledging your presence—no greetings, nods, or even a smile. This was the only place where I’ve provided payment information without ever looking the associate in the eye. There is one exception, and that’s Dawn. She is always cheerful, helpful, and makes an effort to greet patrons and ensure that their workouts are going well. I know this standoffishness isn’t typical for all Planet Fitness locations, as I occasionally visit the one in the valley, where the staff is fantastic. There, you are always greeted upon arrival and leave with a friendly “Thanks for coming in! Have a great day!”
