1 /5 Aaron Sutton: For the price I pay I expect more. My previous gyms in Seattle offered more for a cheaper price.
The pools are all cold except for the therapy pool. Cold enough that even if my kid is constantly moving and swimming his lips always turn blue. A/C also cools the overall space during the summer.
I’m the weight room it is highly focused on machine lifting with only 4 squat racks and one bench, and one incline bench rack.
The sauna and steam room are in the shared pool spaces instead of in the respective locker rooms. I don’t mind a sharing spaces in general, but due to the small size of both the sauna and steam room, they’re routinely FULL. With no room to squeeze into without waiting for someone to leave and then leave behind a respective sweat riddled spot.
My wife had our barely older than 8 month old in the therapy pool. That pool is for adults over 18 and infants under 8 months.without asking for my daughters age, a member went and complained and 5 minutes later staff kicked them out of the pool without asking for my daughters age or proof of age. The children’s pool is too cold for her and turns her lips blue.
This facility is disappointing but just happens to be the most conveniently located large facility in Yakima. If we were to get a Golds Gym or LA Fitness I’d immediately switch.
Although the childcare option is nice, it’s $60 additional a month. Barely cheaper than an adult membership.
