Jeff P I was invited to this church in 1968, when it was called Bible Baptist Church of Lakewood. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and followed Him in scriptural baptism here in February of 1980 and have been a member ever since. This church (now called Legacy Baptist Church) has been a tremendous blessing to me. We have a wonderful pastor in Jonny Stewart, whom I have known since he was in 3rd or 4th Grade (I was one of his leaders when we used to have an AWANA Club; we now have Patch the Pirate). I love and enjoy leading our church family in singing praises to our Lord Jesus Christ because He has done so much for us, and I pray that, if the Lord will, that I can continue serving Him in this ministry for many more years. And yes, we STILL sing the old hymns and Gospel songs! I remember what a pastor from another area Baptist church said at a fellowship meeting I attended many years ago, that these songs "may be old, but theyre not outdated!" We love the warmth, sense of community and family atmosphere here. This church strives to reach and serve its community. The bible study groups are diverse, with classes for all ages, and relationships, i.e, youth, teens, young adults, singles, and married couples etc. The bible preaching is solid, and you hear what you need to hear from God through the ministry of those in the church.

Evelyn Phillips What an inviting place this church is! When we first went we were greeted warmly and invited in to an open and friendly atmosphere. When we settled in for services there were viewing screens for the music and for the readings from the Bible. The preaching hour was well organized and easy to follow, even as first time guests. At the end of services people were friendly and glad to have us there. Several people stopped and chatted with us, inviting us to return to the evening services. All in all, we felt wanted, welcome and at ease. I would recommend it as a good place to worship with friendly people who have given this church a “Come on in and join us” atmosphere worth checking out. That first visit really impressed us; after a few visits we joined as members and the feeling of belonging has always remained. So, do stop in and visit this church some time. We think you would enjoy being there, too.

Renee Kercheval This church community is one of a kind . I was searching for food banks that deliver in Lakewood area that deliver food box to your home, not to many food banks does that. Im disabled and I cant drive or have transportation to get anywhere. A young lady answered the phone and helped me with resources to get the right information to get food. I needed help two months ago and she connected me to another agency program through st. Francis Cabrini Church and I was able to get a food gift card for groceries, a woman name mary and her team went out of their way to buy the groceries and came to my house. I was so grateful for them and their kind heart to take time to do that for me in my time of need. Thank you very much. St Francis Cabrini Church for helping me.

D Anderson Friendly parish but get there early. Very limited parking and you can only get in the front entrance so if you end up in the field in the back you have to walk all the way around to the front to get in.

He finished paying the dept for our sins, died, and 3 days later, resurrected for our justification. If Jesus was raised for my justification, I am surely justified. If God tells us we are justified, therefore we are righteous. Salvation is by grace and not of works. The only thing left for us to do is put aside our thoughts and accept the word of God just as it is written in the Bible.
