savage mcadams Going here as a child to my teens this is one church I would actually suggest people to go to not only even seeing a new pastor but it keeps its same morals and fellowship as when I was a kid first learning of god I loved this church so much sadly when I moved I can still not after 9 years find another church so loving and open to people as this church is one thing I will say is if you want your kid to grow up feeling loved by god this is the church to take them too my dad even tried taking me to a different church when I still lived on Island and I told him dad I like our church better they were there for us when my mom passed and always made sure everyone felt welcome and loved shortly after my mom passed they suggested church camp which at first I was scared being away from my dad after losing my mom but they took me in as they did everyone else and I ended up learning Alot and how to be independent I also had Alot of fun meeting other kids and learning different things I can honestly say I dont think I will ever find another church that makes me feel as close to family as this church its been nine years but I will always think of this place when I think about church

RWD22 Pastor Lemuel is a very friendly and humble preacher. My parents have been going here for years. I do think that the Sunday school for men could use a little bit of help; it is lacking. Taking the Lords name in vain (i.e., OMG) while sharing the Word of God is highly contradictory. Not a reflection on the pastor, but he should be aware if he isnt already.

Terry and Katrina From the moment we walked in, we felt a welcoming atmosphere. I dont normally enjoy the church experience, but this group of Christians is very warm and welcoming. Ive gone back every Sunday since. They are non-judgemental and have so many different ways to include yourself. They do a lot to give back in the community and their leadership is friendly and knowledgeable as well as available for new members. If your looking for a place to fellowship with other Christians, want to know more about Jesus, or are looking to find a home church, I highly recommend trying this congregation out.

Alison Mirabal I visited this church as my pastor was out of town and to join my friend who attends here. Every one was super friendly and welcoming. It seems like they have a lot of small group and outreach programs. I was disappointed though at the lack of Biblical teaching. I didnt see anyone with a Bible to read from during service. There were maybe a few verses read from the Bible which were displayed on screen and the rest was just talking with out in depth teaching. What I refer to as a milk church. No solid Word food taught. No, it wasnt my first time. I have visited several times since this church was established and with different pastors. Not much has changed. Ultimately though, I encourage anyone to attend where they are being fed what their soul needs. The services I have attended here have just left me feeling like I took a bite of food and the meal was over before I was full.

Katie Kazmierczak I have been going to Living Word for roughly 3 years with my family. Great kids programs. Mens and womens classes. Community outreach events. The lead minister is absolutely fantastic. He preaches from scripture straight from the Bible and gives great applications of that scripture to our current day lives. Always expanding on the context of the scripture so that we know what and who the scripture was being spoken to at the time it was written, which I think is super important. The church body is really nice and not overwhelming. Hands down awesome church.

My two oldest kids have gone through 4 preschools between the two of them and this was by far my favorite and the only one my daughter cried about leaving (graduated and going to kindergarten)! My daughter grew to love arts and crafts so much she wants to be an artist when she grows up. My youngest will be starting the fabulous frog class this September

Geoffrey Wampach My wife is catholic and I was raised Baptist. From my perspective, I was always welcomed every week that I came. The priest and leadership were easy to access for both emails and sitting down to meet with. For someone unsure about joining the catholic church, Id highly recommend getting connected with St Augustine. My wife deeply appreciates the compassion and community in the parish. I have deep respect and love for this church in how they built up her faith. I believe that Father Paul regularly makes his homilies applicable to life while not straying from the gospel.

Shane Pearson One Star - Hypocritical and Heartless Im writing this review because of the appalling treatment I received from the staff at St. Augustine Church. As someone who is currently homeless, I found a small comfort in playing catch with my dog in the open field next to the church. It was a peaceful activity that harmed no one. However, the woman who runs the church decided it was appropriate to not only take pictures of me without my permission but also to kick me out of the field and parking area. This kind of behavior is exactly why people are turned off from organized religion. Its hypocritical and far from Christ-like. Instead of showing compassion or offering help, they chose to treat me like a nuisance. This isnt how you encourage people to follow your faith; its how you drive them away. The actions of this church feel more like a cult than a place of worship. If this is how they treat those in need, I want nothing to do with it.

Bob Brannon It was so encouraging to be able to worship after missing it for 2 weeks in a row while away from home. The worship music was very heart-rending and well done and certainly moved my heart to one of worshiping our great God. The pastors message was spot on biblically and the people were very friendly and kind. We are so glad we went. We were inspired to go there because it was only 4 mi from our family we were visiting and because my cousin in San Jose has experience at her Calvary chapel Church that is an inspiration to other churches in how theyve persevered against government over the covid garbage.
