Busy Bee Update: Its been a year, and of my they just get better. The char is just right..I am glad they started back up. 2025 I march. Definitely worth the stop. Kind, Definitely folks. The smell is so good. Last Saturday, my husband came through and they were making BBQ. Of course, we picked up an 8 peice and half rack of ribs....YUMMY!!! Today is exactly 7 days later and YES!! We picked up somemore...The cook out is worth checking out you guys. I cant wait for dinner tonight. The prices are fair and they seem like wonderful people. I do know they can cook!! Evan Berg Grace Christian Fellowship is a Calvinist church which believes "God" chooses the minority who gets saved i.e. goes to heaven and forces everyone else to go to hell (they have NO FREEWILL). The Pastor spoke with me the first time visiting and said "God sends people to hell for His glory" and smiled as if the Lord Almighty needs to do that for increased glory. John 3:16 says "whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life" meaning everyone has the potential to believe and go to heaven. This is the most famous verse in the Bible, even non-Christians have heard of it and seen it. Dont bother getting into a discussion with any hardcore Calvinist or church that believes in TULIP; total depravity, unconditional election, limited atonement, irresistibility of grace and final perseverance of the saints. Total waste of time and will NOT bear fruit. On another note, the congregation was welcoming and obviously does not know or understand the meat of the Word to contest the blasphemy of John Calvins false teachers.

K Reese Biblical, grace-based, balanced. (in my opinion) From my experience, it is less conservative than conservative Baptist, more conservative than most community-type churches. The genuine work of the Holy Spirit is active, yet there isnt a feeling of a show at all. Salvation only through Jesus Christ is taught here for all, men and women the same. There was an awkward review below of a disgruntled person stating some bizarre theology of women being saved (alluding to being born again) through having babies. I have no idea how she could have come away with that as their theology! She might have heard a sermon on the verse that talks about women being preserved through having children. 1 Tim 2:15. This is a verse that can be a tough one. The most likely interpretation that takes into account the immediate context is that, rather than abandoning their intended roles, women will find fulfillment through being life-giving and nurturing in all of their relationships and being the feminine role in the traditional family, including childbearing. Paul is probably saying here that God calls women to be faithful wives, raising children to love and worship God and making the home inviting and relational etc. (1 Timothy 5:14; Titus 2:3–5). While this view is not without its difficulties, it appears to harmonize best with the context and with the remainder of Scripture. If you are unsure, look up the churchs beliefs or talk to a leader there. But, in my opinion, of churches in Spokane, this would be one that is pretty dang tight if scriptural accuracy is of utmost importance to you. Thanks.

The message given weekly is the perfect place for a first time church visitor and even deeper for a well schooled Christian. The worship team is second to none. My favorite part.

Having been raised Catholic, and being a practitioner of Native American spirituality, the folks at Calvary made me feel that comfortable and made me feel like I was at home. It has been five years since then, my ex partner, who is black, still lives in Spokane and I no longer live there but share my story of Calvary and the people who attend service as one of my best memories of my time in Spokane. Delta 246 Eye opening experience! Real good members, and excellent pastor! I have been going for the past 5 to 6 months! Prior to this, I had not been to church in over 12 years. I have learned so much more out of the bible from Bobby Moore, the pastor. I used to feel so alone in this huge world, but now I feel something inside me that has been a life changing experience! My 24 year old daughter likes River City so much, she comes from out of town for services.

Small friendly congregation that is approachable and not cliquey or intimidating. Childrens classes are not overcrowded and are very welcoming and fun. I look forward to Sunday mornings again!

The services always teach me something new and I really enjoy the Bible studies, I have really gotten connected to people there through the Bible studies. The people are kind and welcoming. When I started going there I was terrified of people, now Im pretty comfortable with people there and even people outside of church. The Church in Spokane meet on the ground of oneness meaning they take no special or specific way that they meet which could divide Christians. They genuinely love the Lord and care for His Body. Sima Cuch If you are a true follower of Jesus Christ (not just a casual believer) who is looking to experience genuine fellowship and be challenged in your walk with God I would NOT recommend for you to commit your time to this church. While attending this church for many year I had a hard time with the following: 1. Improper management of church fund. 2. Sermons that are often driven by teaching human morals instead of gospel centered (requirement of baptism prior to taking communion, a lot of weight placed on church membership, certain dress code etc.) 3. Church members who are unattended and forgotten (it took them 3 years to realize that my mom was no longer attending and they called her to find out if she will be renewing her membership). 4. Elders who are unwilling to spend the time to deal with relational conflicts ( parent/child, spouses, family members) when confronted with them. With 700+ church members I would describe this church as leisure religious guttering ( see Mathew 23) where a lot of emphasis is placed on outward appearance. If youre not popular or or possess excellent people skills you can easily become just a face in a crowd.

Inessa Novitskiy Great russian speaking church, amazing Russian school opportunity for kids they have outdone themselves this year. Love being there during service. Atmosphere is ok could be better location of it not so great, parking problems and in middle of too much going around the church.

Mahal Charis So far our experience is great. The pastor is good at what he does which is preaching the word. It’s biblically sound. Parking can be a little daunting. But they offer different times for people to choose from to worship. Also we been there 4 times and yet there’s no follow-up. All in all we like the church. We have yet to meet the pastor though.

Sara Talbot Exceptionally delivered Bible teaching. Pastor Ryan is probably one of my favorite "preachers" in how he shares the gospel and intellectually walks you through the scriptures. The people are friendly and caring, so dont be afraid to reach out, as it is becoming a larger church body and it is becoming easier to slip in and out unnoticed. Great womens ministry and childrens ministry! Lots of families.

Alicia Doney I went to Sun City once many years ago. I went with a couple of friends today. I pulled in and in the parking lot the welcomes and introductions began. Entering the building, more greetings and people coming out of everywhere to say hi. The people sitting around us introduced themselves. Worship music was so great and made you want to dance. The sermon was on point and spoke volumes to what I have been going through personally. After service more people came to introduce themselves and welcome us. And then the pastor that gave the sermon introduced himself to us and spent time talking with us. Thank you Sun City staff and members for making us feel so welcomed and seen. We will be back for sure.

Renna Torman Everything about this church is beautiful, the sermons seem to always feel like they were written just for me, no matter the topic. The pastors never put themselves up on a pedestal (and this has been my church for 10 years). The way they encourage you to get involved and join a small group, never being pushy or condemning. Their focus is all on helping you know God, find freedom, discover your purpose and make a difference in the lives around you (and they have small groups to help you with all of that). Like I said - beautiful. I’ve gone through a very difficult time in my life over the last few years and I’m not sure where I’d be right now if I didn’t have the people at Sun City encouraging me and continuing to help me keep my eyes on the Lord. You should definitely come check it out!
