4 /5 Duke: Room was very nice, modern, clean, comfy.
Checkin Keelee, if that is the correct name, super welcoming.
Casino, is a casino. Slots paid. And we left a couple bucks up for a change.
Logger’s Pub. Disaster.
Alejandro was running around with a smile trying his best to accommodate the guests. He was the host, waiter, bartender and part time chef. They were obviously short staffed for dinner. The sign said “wait to be seated” but he yelled across the restaurant to sit anywhere.
I ordered the baseball sirloin steak, at $33 the most expensive item on the menu. My wife ordered the seniors roast.
After a while my “steak” showed up, and the poor waiter realized as he was walking across the the restaurant that something was wrong with the steak and as he set the plate down he said “this isn’t rare”. In fact, i believe what i was looking at was a quarter inch thick slice of over cooked meat with a line of gristle running down the centre. Alejandro immediately identified that this was not a steak and could not be passed off as such and took a fork and pulled it from the plate and put it on a side plate for disposal elsewhere. He left me the whipped freeze drid potatoes and overcooked zucchini. He asked what i would rather have and i asked for the fish and chips. I believe the fish was Captain Oleander from the Walmart frozen food fridge. Three small chunks of some unidentified white fish coated in an almost cooked batter dripping in oil. I often order fish and chips when dining out and this was the second worst i have ever experienced, ever.
My wife’s roast looked exactly like pulled pork BBQ meat with some kind of dark gravy you would prepare from a packet of powdered mix.
We left a $10 tip in hopes that Alejandro could take a cab and get the heck out of there and find a better place to be a server.
