2 /5 Rae Niculescu: We’ve been here twice over the past 2 months. The food is good with generous portions. Service is poor— our first time was just so-so and the second time was extremely disappointing. One of our parties meals arrived about 30 minutes after the 2 others meals were served. I had to get up and go to the kitchen around the 20 minute mark since nobody checked on us or took initiative to say the order was taking longer. I was told it would be out “in just a few minutes”. Another 10 minutes passed with no updates. So I had to get up and go to the kitchen 2nd time.
There were no special requests on any of our orders, just standard menu items (ramen and karage don) There were two servers present and only two other dining tables occupied during the time we were there. There were 2 to-go orders brought out during this time.
They did not offer to comp anything on our tab and by the time food had arrived my older daughter lost her appetite (she’d had 2 gyozas and a couple bites of her sisters ramen). It was my youngest daughters birthday request to come here and we were late for the other plans we had that evening as well.
Staff seemed more interested in socializing among themselves than being attentive to diners or being sincere about service recovery. Would use for take out again but not dining in.
