5 /5 Happily Content: If you like battered and fried fish GO TO GENES. Fiancé and I were in search of a some hot fish and chips and a cold beer after three days of no power at home. This place popped up on Google so we figured why not. Genes exceeded our expectations. Started off with some oyster shooters which were delicious, I figured maybe were a little bias because we LOVE oysters. My fiancé got the fish & chips, subbed with curly fries and I got the Shrimp Basket subbed with onion rings. Im not sure what they put in the breading or how they seasoned those shrimp, but they were ADDICTING. Such a nice crunch without being overcooked. I looked at my fiancé and told him "Im gonna be thinking about these shrimp for the next week". Fish and chips had a nice crunch while also staying nicely cooked and soft on the inside. Both the curly fries and onion rings were absolutely delicious as well. My bloody mary was perfect and the macnjacks was served ice cold. We will absolutely be returning. Im craving it already and we were just there last night.

5 /5 Phil: Ordered dinner on DoorDash from Gentleman Gene’s, and it was terrific. Ordered the steak, with a side, and cup of soup. I was very happy with the clam chowder, it was flavorful and had lots of clams. The steak was ordered medium/rare, and it came perfectly cooked. The baked potato was still hot and came with all the fixings. I will definitely be visiting them in the future.

4 /5 Ronny Ruch: Coworkers and I were looking for a place to eat some steaks but everything was closed so we came here instead. It was fine. Could tell the vibe changed as soon as we walked in because of the Melanin, turned out fine though. Most of my coworkers got the Ribeye which was...eh. Not the best but not the worst. Best thing hands DOWN was the Clam Chowder...THAT was delicious. Waitress was cool too after she was able to handle 5 different tables.

4 /5 Angus Mcbumfarty: Got the all you can eat fish and. Chips so.ething you dont find anymore, it was fresh and fluffy however the batter was greasy ,I k ow its deep fried but it was greasy, other than that the service was most excellent . And do try the potato skins they were awesome.

3 /5 Trisha Miller: We were passing through after a Norwegian Cruise and heading to Vancouver, Canada to check it out. Then, back to Missouri . Thought wed Try something off the beaten path & different. Started out Great, but the Waitress didnt get our Order in Right or it was the kitchen, she said. Regardless, We waited for over 30 minutes. Then, after Apologizing, we thought it would get better, but it didnt. Never got refills, took Forever to get a box, and we finally went up to her to pay the bill. Thought it would be a Nice place, but the food wasnt that good, the food was OK, and the Service was Bad! Dont Recommend...
