5 /5 Nachelle Conley- McCrumb: Let me tell you… I didn’t eat at Mom’s Dishes. I lived there for an hour. I ordered the vermicelli bowl, my husband got the Vietnamese-style pan sandwich, and we started with the wontons. Those wontons were light, fluffy, crispy little clouds from heaven. I’m honestly convinced they float when nobody’s watching.
Everything was unbelievably fresh, light, and full of flavor. I was stuffed, but that did not slow me down one bit. I kept eating like I had been waiting my whole life for this moment. This is truly some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. I felt like I hadn’t lived until I ate here, and now I’m hooked.
The chef is a straight-up flavor magician. Whoever they are deserves a trophy and maybe even a kiss on the forehead.
We will absolutely be back for more of those perfect wontons and something new from the menu. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you are seriously missing out on pure joy in food form.
