1 /5 goran lalov: I fully respect the law and understand that bars must enforce ID requirements. That was never the issue. The issue was the unnecessary rudeness and misrepresentation of the situation by what appeared to be a manager.
I realized I had forgotten my ID and was already preparing to leave. Despite that I was spoken to as if I were refusing to comply, and the manager escalated the interaction by claiming twice that I had refused to leave, which simply was not true. A calm, respectful request would have been more than sufficient. Professionalism costs nothing.
As for the venue itself, there’s little here that would encourage a return. The atmosphere felt mediocre at best, the food appeared to be generic bar fare with little thought or quality behind it, and the drink menu was uninspired limited real beer options and cheap, uncreative cocktails that don’t justify the attitude.
Rules should be enforced, absolutely but courtesy should come standard. Unfortunately, the Spot fell short on both hospitality and overall experience.
