Kiyundre Mczeal This mechanic provided exceptional communication and service. They completed the work efficiently and promptly. Their diagnosis of other necessary repairs was clear, budget-conscious, and informative. Every question I had was answered. Another customer arrived while I was there with numerous questions, some of which were nonsensical. Despite this, they were incredibly kind and respectful, taking the time to thoroughly explain the customer’s needs and options. I highly recommend this mechanic and will definitely be using their services in the future, especially for Subarus.

Brittney G Absolutely one of my favorite shops to deliver parts to since day one of meeting them. I have witnessed up close how efficient and thorough they are. They go out of their way to make sure things are done well and customers are taken care of. Definitely one of the best in the business, and I will forever highly recommend them.

Sean Ferguson This review is reflective of scheduling practices and customer service, and not actual car care. I made an appointment two weeks out and showed up on time. Was told the alignment would be completed before lunch time. Came back at noon and it hadn’t been touched. Was told at that point it would be that evening or the next day. Cancelled immediately, and there was no attempt by staff to reschedule or make it right.

Lena Rae I highly recommend Terrys Auto for anyone who cares about their car, and wants knowledgeable and friendly professionals to work on it. Terrys has the most knowledgeable professionals I have ever encountered at an auto shop, hands down! They are willing to work with their customers on parts replacements, and are quite affordable for the high quality of work you get...oh, and theyre fast too! They took the time to fully and completely answer all my questions, and educate me on exactly what was going on with my car. I actually felt smarter after leaving their shop, as well as safer on the road and comfortable behind the wheel. Highly recommended! If I could give 6 stars, I would.

Leona M I wanted to use them for my Ford and not go anywhere else but I realized they were charging me for things I didn’t need and my car never ran any better whenever I picked it up. I made several calls to them explaining that the same issues were occurring and they continued to bs me. I now have an honest mechanic and was made aware of how dangerous it was for me to even have been driving my vehicle!! Overcharged and under-serviced.

Erik Read Been going to them since 2015, and Ive had everything from a engine swap, transmission swap, collision damage, and most recently a water pump and tune-up done here - the team is GREAT, prices are reasonable, and service is very fast. Highly recommend them for anyone in the greater puget sound area.

Todd Madison Some things are worth having the best professionals fix, and automatic transmissions definitely require special skills. Quite frankly, when it comes to doing transmissions right, Larry Collins does not mess around, and Thurston County Transmissions is therefore one of the best in the business. When my purpose-built FJ Cruiser transmission finally succumbed to some self-inflicted damage from an unrelated issue, and years of hard miles ... eventually deciding that going forward was no longer an option ... finding a top-quality shop in the area I had recently relocated too was the first part of the problem. But I was rewarded by asking around, doing some research, talking with Matt on the phone about options, costs and challenges, and then being willing to get the vehicle in to TCT. Matt kept me informed every step of the way, updating me on progress and overall costs, which I really appreciated. Larry re-built the transmission as good as (or better than) new, and after a couple thousand miles of mixed use driving, my own testing and some mid-level off-roading, I am pretty sure this will not be a problem again. And that was the point. I wanted the transmission fixed right. The first time. My FJ has two jobs. One is to get me out there. The other is to get me home. TCT had one job ... to get it fixed ... and they did that perfectly. They were very fair for the level of repair I needed, and very professional through and through. My highest recommendation, for sure. Thanks again guys!!

Lisa Dasch While on a rode trip from CA we experienced transmission trouble. Matt at Thurston Co Trans told us to get our 2017 Suburban to his shop first thing the next day and their mechanic, Larry, would take a look. Larry gave us the bad news that we needed a new transmission. Understanding we were on vacation, Larry prioritized our vehicle, worked his magic, and rebuilt our transmission. He got us back on the road in a little over 24 hours! We were thrilled. The Suburban made it back to CA no problems. We paid with a cashiers check to avoid the 3.5% credit card fee. Cant say enough about these two great guys. We appreciate the lifetime warranty and are planning a trip back to WA for the annual service.

Vincent Chavez Took my car in and even though shipping parts took a longer than estimated time, I can’t fully say the service was terrible (desk clerks were very nice and welcoming), but I noticed a part of my car wasn’t installed properly (Picture 1 compared to Picture 2), match for the paint wasn’t fully the best (their spray looks way more sparkly than the factory spray/ more noticeable at night), and my front grill now has a split in color (Picture 3). Finding all of these things after paying my remaining balance on top of the 3% charge for using my card was disappointing but ultimately I am left neutral for recommending them to anyone as they did manage to do an amazing job with the passenger rim damage.

Kaydon Willis Would LOVE to give 0 star review. Shop totaled my car within 24 hours of having it dropped off there. Upon disassembly of my hatch, they broke my spoiler and charged it to the insurance claim which caused it to be deemed totaled. They threw out my rear license plate with my tabs on it, threw out my license plate frame that was over that one, completely busted my dash cam, and let my car get towed away without my consent!! $150 dash cam that I asked if I needed to remove, and they assured me no, it’s fine. Also, I have footage of before I arrived at the shop, then moving my car around the lot, but for some ODD reason, all of the footage of my car even entering or being in their shop is mysteriously gone. Yet there’s still footage of it being taken to the salvage yard WITHOUT my consent. Erik at Trew in Olympia told me he wouldn’t let my car leave the lot until I had given verbal consent and gotten all my belongings out of my car. Neither of which happened, and I had to track my car down. Absolute mess and a disaster of a shop. WOULD NOT recommend ever. Watch out for USAA drivers, their insurance make you go to this shop which cannot be trusted!!!!!

steven linhart Brought my recently purchased 1999 M3 in for an inspection and recommended services. They did a very thorough inspection and identified several things that needed addressing. I had them repair/replace a leaking cooling system, a power steering leak and service/quiet a noisy differential. Very happy with the work and I will be back to see these guys for services in the future.

Christian Doran I had a small service done there recently for my Audi and was really impressed with their work. They gave an accurate and well priced quote. They got the work done on time. They identified some other issues and some future work that needed attention, but were not pushy with it. All while being polite and easy to work with. Highly recommended.

misty torres They totally messed up my car. Had it 4 months tore it apart. Stole the cool air intake and battery. Dont stay in communication. They let my car sit out in a field to get molded. I had to go have it towed from them. My car is definitely in worse condition then when I took it to them. And I read they sell peoples cars while their on deployment. I am pursuing legal action.

Joshua Osiris Troys has been phoenominal for both me and my girlfriend. Theyve done work ranging from replacement of a transmission to simple stuff like spark plugs. Every interaction has been positive and simple. They are exactly what I want and expect of a repair shop. Jennifer Greer My car was totaled out by insurance but Kylie was amazing about keeping me advised when it came to the calls I’d get from towing companies, how to handle them since I was keeping the car, and assuring me they were on my side and wouldn’t release my car without my express permission. My car is a 2007 and the damage was all cosmetic but totaled more than the value of the car, so I opted to keep it and fix it myself. Kylie helped secure the bumper when we picked it up and we were off! Awesome communication and support!

Richard Flynn Kevin and crew gave my Ridgeline truck a major suspension overhaul and I am so happy with the results. The truck feels and drives incredibly smooth. Made my truck feel new again.

Seven This place is horrible. They trashed my car with a fire while it was in their shop! I tried to be cool and allow them to repair the damage instead of notifying insurance and they literally put a bandaid over a amputated limb with the repairs. The owners refuse to be decent and says they dont owe me anything. Yet my car is trashed. If you want to keep your car nice dont bring it here.

New transmission, new torque converter, new alternator in under a week! Not only that I’m very impressed with the workmanship!. I’ve been turning wrenches my whole life but these days just don’t have the time and capacity for the big repairs, needless to say I know a quality repair when I see it and it’s priceless to know I have a trustworthy and competent shop by my side if needed. Jedidiah Brase Father and son team. Got my truck in quicker than any other shop would. Gave me a same-day diagnosis. They told me I needed to rebuild my turbo, which I did, and it solved all my problems. Friendly owner and you can tell they do good honest work. If I run into other issues I’ll be taking my truck here.

Jake Wilmovsky I dont give out 5 stars for just anything. I work for a small insulation company in Tumwater. We recently took our box truck in to capitol fleet because the heater wasnt working and we thought it needed a new thermostat. They found a host of other problems and addressed them all for a fair price. This truck has never ran so good in the 4 years Ive worked for turner insulation. It used idol really rough. It would shake the whole truck and now it is really smooth. I would highly recommend these guys. They are usually pretty busy but they have always crammed us in so we can keep our company going. This is a stand up local business. Kudos gentlemen.

Lisa I had work done on my vehicle, it got done. When I picked it up there were more problems than when I brought it in. It had never had an electrical problem until I picked it up. The battery looked old. It wasn’t when I dropped I off. It wouldn’t start when I picked it up. The owner jumped it. He was fine but the mechanic that did the work was completely untrustworthy. I’m positive the battery was switched and the airbag wires have been messed with. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle elsewhere.
