5 /5 Shy Abutbol: I started attending Calvary Crossroads back when they were still a small church in East Wenatchee. I was 14, had just lost my father, was bitter and suffered from depression and anxiety. I didnt want to be there, but I attended with my mother and grandmother-albeit infrequently-since about 2004. I was hurt, I was hard hearted and I was walled off emotionally; I wasnt a pleasant person to be around. The people that come here come from all walks of life; rich, poor, young, old, faithful their whole life, newly faithful midlife. They arent just people, they are a family; they are so different, yet all come together to worship God above all else, setting aside all differences. No games here, no scripts, no false promises or deceptive behavior. What you see is what you get. They accept you at times when you cant accept yourself-challenge you to be what they know God made you to be-and show you just a small, humanly possible glimpse of the love of the Father. Come as you are.
