Dr. Barry is the best dentist I have ever had! He knows what he is doing, stays ahead of the curve with regard to dental technology, and has a sincere interest in his patients health and well being! On top of that, he is very friendly and engaging - an all around great human being! I would recommend Dr. Barry and his friendly and professional staff to anyone! I am on the move again and will need to find a new dentist in my new home. I only hope I find someone as top notch as Dr. Barry!

Aside from the very congenial welcome and check-in from Andrea, I found this dentist to be both thorough and proactive. The visit was a wake up call for me, after so many years of poor dental care habits. He took the time and gave me specific strategies for eradicating my gum disease and maintaining proper daily hygiene. With one introductory visit prior, yesterdays procedure, and one to go next month, Im fully satisfied with this team of practitioners. Dr. Barry is a good fit, recommended!

5 /5 Jonathan Yurkanis: About a week ago I was flossing around the "permanent retainer" that I have had for years, installed by a Seattle orthodontist, on the back side of my four low front teeth. Daily I have to feed the floss between the gaps, floss near the gums and roots and then pull the floss out, on most occasions. On this recent evening, feeding in then flossing between the last two teeth of the set, I felt a small pop and the floss came up through the gap, meaning one of the small dots of composite affixing points holding the thin wire in place had released. Its been many, many years since installation so not like poor workmanship back when, but I did need support to re-affix the now-floating last portion of wire. I called Dr. Becks office and super friendly as usual, they were able to set me up with an appointment the next day. Dr. Barry & his assistant assessed the situation and then set about to perform the repair, which they did in a smooth, organized fashion. High appreciation for the timely repair, and the very fair price to perform an urgent repair with professionalism and dispatch. Thanks Dr. Barry, and thanks as well to you support staff folk too, all of whom helped get me in and out, problem fully resolved in a timely manner!

I have encountered many dental practices including when I lived on the Olympic Peninsula previously. Some of the best experiences have been here in Pt. Townsend and happily my partner and are now patients of Dr. Mathias at the Uptown Dental. The practice is efficient, compassionate, and very skillful including our hygienist, Grace. Finding skillful and personable dental care has had to be a priority wherever Ive lived. Very grateful to have found Uptown Dental!

miranda wright: DDS: Doing Diddley Squat I let my mouth pain go for about two weeks before calling Sturdivant, a dentist I have gone to for a long time. It took a week to get the appointment and once in, it was confirmed that I had an infection from a cracked tooth. Damaged beyond repair, the tooth would need to come out; a simple, routine extraction. But the good doctor was not content with just removing that tooth. He thought the wisdom tooth, that was fighting its way through my gums, should also be extracted. I agreed before I knew that it was not going to happen that day nor by him. He referred me to an oral surgeon in Port Angeles and said, while at the same time, he would try to schedule me with their on staff oral surgeon. "We will call you", was the last thing they said to me. The dentist in PA could not get me in for a consultation for two teeth, I was told, for four months. (I suppose I should have asked if it was less for just one tooth.) Three days passed and still no call from Sturdivants office, so I called them. When I informed them of the long wait time in PA, they said they would try to find me someone else - which, of course, I thought they were already doing. Being a Friday and still being in considerable pain, I asked for a renewal of my pain med, even if only one or two doses. All I received was yet another promise of a call back "first thing Monday morning." By noon on Monday, another week now passed, I received no call back nor could I get a human on the phone, like they were screening my calls. I had to get proactive and find another dentist. Done and done. As x-rays are now digital, I called Sturdivants answering machine again and asked that they email the x-rays to the new dentist. They did not; not even when the new dentist called them with the request. By the end of the next day, all was good in the mouth-hood. The bad tooth was extracted in less than a half hour and cost $401, which I gladly paid. The $163 that I paid to Sturdivant, who did nothing (except give me a prescription for an antibiotic and 6 pain pills), however, is not OK. It is time that WE took back our RIGHT to affordable healthcare from true professionals and not the greedy, feckless hacks who pass themselves off as such.
