2 /5 h. b.: I tried this church a couple of times. I was turned off by the pastors male opinions about womens reproductive rights. I discussed it with him a bit and he stood firm with typical political talking points. It was alienating and I think that he probably assumes that everyone in his congregation should share his opinion. It is possible to teach about Jesuss love without including politics in this way. I go to church to get a break from political BS and to follow the teachings of christ. Im looking for Gods love in a church, not political opinions. It is not loving the women in the congregation to know that the pastor is okay with women being forced to birth babies at the risk of their bodies and health. Women should be able to enjoy intercourse and have the choice about what they risk with their bodies or decide when they want to start a family. Jesus loves all of Gods children. He asks us to love one another. Would Jesus regulate women and put all of the blame on them? Women are dying in states where doctors cant provide care in fear of breaking the law.
