Pee-Bee Jay: After six emails, and several requests on app to join group, nothing. After messaging Marci Scurlock (one of the pastors) a fourth time, she responded vaguely and mentioned she can’t give out group leaders’ contact. I think this person was supposed to connect me with the group leaders so I could visit the group. I am not happy with my experience. (A friend of mine recommended this place to me.) BTW, my schedule does not allow me to attend Sunday service. But I work close by and was looking to join a scripture study group. This is the email I sent: Hi, Not sure you received my message a few weeks ago. I am new to Newlife and am interested in checking out Pete and Sharon’s group (South Kitsap). I submitted a request in the app several weeks ago but didn’t hear back. I was wondering if they still meet and if I could visit. Can you help me with getting in touch with them? Thanks.

Collette Reiman: This is a smaller sized congregation, but incredibly loving and supportive. I have been a member since December 2012. That, in itself says what a special place it is, to me. I was "church shopping" after moving back home, from Ohio. I was going down a list, provided by my former preacher. I stopped looking, after meeting the congregation. The music is a mix of new and old. There is a great focus on the community and also outreach, for special needs. The teaching and preaching are both Biblical and relevant and there are small groups that meet, during the week. There is disabled parking and bathroom access as well.

Im not in Bremerton often but when I am, Ill be at Granary Church every chance I get. I was a little apprehensive about going by myself, but Im so glad I did.
