5 /5 Tabitha Basye: From the second we drove in it was magical. My daughter & I saw a river otter run across the beach from the tide pools to the wooded area. Saw a deer & a bald eagle landed right near me and then flew past my daughter, also lots of robins. It was magic, plus some pretty rocks.

5 /5 jhurb: A lot of trails to get lost in, nice beach with lots of drift wood, and camping (I stayed in site 33 & 37) They had a decent amount of privacy but not all sites have good barriers. Cell service is spotty.

Admiralty Head Lighthouse - Coupeville

StayC One111: Very cute light house. Very small. Only about 5 -6 people can go up at a time. E visited in May so not too busy. Nice staff. Its free. If you have babies the staff will not permit you to carry a baby / toddler. Because the last steps are a ladder style. So have someone hold your baby while you go up.

Hal Ramaley Memorial Park - Oak Harbor

Casey Frost: Very small Memorial Garden with well kept flower gardens and shade trees. Not really any place to just sit and enjoy the quiet though unless you want to sit on concrete flower bed border.

Joseph Whidbey State Park - Oak Harbor

Susan: I dont use the inside of the park but I walk the ocean perimeter. Inside is picnicking and there are benches overlooking the ocean and a few tables at ocean level. Outside of park ocean parking. Great sunset opportunity. There is a flat land path (always seems to have 1 flooded spot so not terribly handicapped friendly but b4 that space plenty of room for wheelchairs. Semi sandy beach. (Changes yearly) tide does go way out for sand building.

Ala Spit County Park - Oak Harbor

Gail Grace: Delightful place to walk especially when the tide is lower. When it is high, it can be difficult to negotiate log jams to get to the trail. I spent a beautiful afternoon here recently. The parking area is small, but so are the crowds. There are no facilities except a couple benches.

Fort Nugent Park - Oak Harbor

Krista Enneberg: We love Fort Nugent Park! Great fields, lots of space, well-kept, fun playgrounds, a walking trail, and covered areas. Concessions during football season and lots of parking. Definitely the best recreational park in north Whidbey.

Matt Johns: Incredible beach to view deception pass bridge, see the powerful tide currents and find agates. Short, 300 you walk from the car through some massive costal trees.

Dugualla State Park - Oak Harbor

Bj Hedahl: Only found on map, no road-side sign or directions to this delightful, quiet and wide, well maintained trail system. Some very large trees and many species of native plants. One trail does go to the salt water and others are fairly flat. Parking is just the wide area at the road.
