2 /5 Soleil Miyamoto: TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE WHEN IT COMES TO PRICES. The woman who did mine didnt braid tight enough (which in the moment I thought she did b/c Im not tender headed so any type of tightness doesnt hurt me). After 4 days hair looked like Ive worn it for months. I talked to the owner and it seemed like she was understanding, but after she finished re-braiding my hair, she tried to charge me an $95 on top of the $108 from last time. She claimed cornrows only last a week. A week? Making people pay $90-$110 for something that only last a few days is highway robbery. Cornrows should last at least up to 4 weeks. I would seriously only come here if you want locs.

She will waste your time for years on end. In Gregoria an African lady does my hair in an hour instead of the three it takes he purposely slow ahhhh

5 /5 Stärke: Melissa has hands of magic and the entire staff is super kind! Prices are incredible for what you get! Cannot wait to do another design the next time Im in! I schedule online for the earliest times when I book and am sat down within 5 min. Each time only takes 45min tops with a shampoo and maybe 30min without! Super fast service, always consistent with me, and the braids speak from themselves!

Kari Toyama: I dont write a lot of reviews, but I just love this place. I have been trying to find the right salon for a few years and I think this is the one Ill stick with for a long-while. The products, the front desk staff, and of course the stylists are just incredible. At my first appointment, Althya asked me about my hair routine and current issues I was having (even though I was there to get a color treatment) and actually came up with a plan to treat my dry scalp. And for the first time in SO many years, it actually worked! I also highly recommend Althya for any hair painting - shes just fantastic.

The last four years Ive only seen Mel at Paint Salon for my hair. Ive been highlighting my hair for 15+ years and can honestly say this was the best salon experience Ive had! I get washed out easily because my skin tone is cool and I have low contrast. Mel understood the *subtlety* that I wanted for my hair in adding dimension while incorporating my natural color. Mel really listens to the nuances of client requests and shes great at cuts as well as color. Plus shes lovely to interact with! Also the front desk/scheduling staff is welcoming and helpful.
