1 /5 Shawnee Fuller: IF I COULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS I WOULD I requested highlights from the stylist (autumn) she said she could do it. I made my appointment over the internet and it said my appointment would cost $70 for what I was wanting done.. I booked a cap highlight. I got there and she said it would cost $140 for this tiny section of hair on the top of my head & called it a partial highlight. Ive gotten my hair done soooo many times before and this was the ABSOLUTELY WORST experience Ive ever had. She ended up doing a balayage on my hair and said it would look like what I wanted. Still quoted $140. So she bleached the shit out of my hair and fried it. My hair was healthy when I went in to the salon. I wanted a platinum blonde she put a dark toner on my hair without even talking to me about it. So I left unhappy. Called and spoke to a manager and she said they would fix it for me. I went in today and got there after an hour of commute there and home, and the manager tells me she spoke to autumn and she discussed with me what was happening with my hair that it didnt lighten good it was "orange" which is a flat out lie. Autumn told me it lightened great. Then put a dark toner on it without even seeing if that was okay with me and lied to the manager and said she discussed it with me. The manager then told me there was NOTHING they could do to fix my hair. I left crying. The "vibe" was horrible. They made me so uncomfortable and upset. Will never go again to this salon && dont recommend my worst enemy to go there. The woman in front of me in line today her hair cut was horrible also... I felt so bad for her... these women in this salon dont care about the people they are supposed to be helping. They will ruin your hair and rip you off like they did me. My hair is fried and SO UGLY. Oh also did no test stream before bleaching my hair. Was so careless and rude. I saw how it lightened and it was good I have no idea what came over her to put something completely different than what I asked for on my hair.

5 /5 X: Karly is so talented and turned my dried out rats nest into luscious flowing locks. Her cuts are exceptional and she knows how to balance and highlight facial features with layers. She takes the time to listen to her clients and didn’t take too much off when I resisted a badly needed trim. She is exceptional with color and recommended products that didn’t break the budget and which I would actually use at home. She was able to seriously transform my hair. Highly recommend!

1 /5 Chasity Lively: I won’t name the hairdresser out of courtesy for the salon as a whole but the lack of professionalism I experienced today was nonsense. It was my first time in this salon due to being new to the area. The stylist asked what we were doing. I showed her several pictures of how I wanted my hair to look. She then says we’re going to dye the roots and throw a toner on the rest. I was thinking about what she said while she was away and asked her when she returned if what she was going to do was going to make my hair look like the pictures I showed her because it was going to upset me if those were not my results. She walked over to another stylist (maybe manager) and said loudly she did not want to do my hair. She then walks back and says I’m going to have to reschedule with another stylist because she wasn’t going to do it. I told her I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page as I didn’t want my hair messed up and she replied “reschedule with another stylist”. There’s a right and wrong way to do things and I’m pretty upset that she lacked the ability to use basic communication skills to make sure we both left happy (me with great hair and her with a decent tip and not one, but potentially 4 new clients). Hopefully I can update my review in the near future.

1 /5 Brandy H: If I could give 0 I would. I had long thick healthy hair. I went in and asked for long layers with the shortest layer being just below my shoulders. I told the Asian stylist this multiple times. She talked to me about a poof (not sure if that’s correct) cut she had done on another girl and I told her I don’t know what that was but again wanted long layers with the shortest just below my shoulders. And I showed her this multiple times. When she cut the first big section I said that seems too short. Mind you I have my glasses off and have really bad eyes so couldn’t exactly see. She said it’s not too short, you will like it. I said well remember I don’t want it shorter than just below my shoulders. Needless to say she cut shorter and then thinned it out. I felt she wasn’t cutting so I asked if she was thinning it out and she said yes bc it’s so heavy. I told her it was my choice to have it heavy and she really shouldn’t do that without asking. I also told her she was cutting my hair way shorter than I had asked but there wasn’t anything I could do. Yes I cried in the chair and yes it’s just hair but it was my long thick beautiful hair and I was robbed by her not listening. I don’t know her name just that she was Asian. Yes I still paid for it even though she decided not to charge me but I wasn’t there for a free cut. It ruined a lot of things for me, most important self confidence. I am not skinny and my hair helped me feel more confident. I told her she should listen to her clients and not do what she thinks they want bc sometimes a persons hair is something they can control. I dropped cash on the counter and told her I had to go, I was crying and trying not to cause a scene. I have a shoulder injury and taking care of my hair this morning took me longer and hurt more. I have to now figure a different way to take care of it which will cost me more money. Would not recommend this person at JCP salon in Puyallup. I’m sure others listen and do a good job but not her.
