Misha Smith: We had a fantastic stay at Battle Ground Lake State Park! When we arrived, we had reservations, and although no one was at the gate maybe because of all the Federal cut which I’m so sorry about . it was easy to follow the signs — just head right for campsites 1–20, which are laid out in a convenient loop. Our site was paved, making setup easy, and the lakeside location was beautiful. We were right next to the restrooms, which were clean and well-maintained. While that meant a little extra foot traffic nearby, we didn’t mind because the lake access made it totally worth it. There’s a small trail that takes you quickly down to the lake and the park store. Speaking of the store, the woman working there was wonderful! We love collecting small souvenirs from every trip, and she kindly gave us one even though they hadn’t been priced yet — such a thoughtful and personal touch. Just a heads-up: the store is only open on weekends before Memorial Day, but it switches to Monday–Friday hours after that. This park is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by dense woods with lots of shaded trails circling the lake. If you’re a sun-seeker, don’t worry — there are sunny spots along the lakeshore where you can relax and soak it in. We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend this gem if you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway.

Brie B: This area is beautiful, from the covered bridge to the Mill itself. There are wonderful walking trails around the area itself. While the building is only open Saturdays from 1pm to 4pm, I would still recommend going and seeing it. I have been up several times on Saturday and they are quite busy. The downside of visiting the location is limited parking (especially during open times) and no historical marker signs to tell you anything about the area of the mill itself. Overall it is a nice area to go and picnic or just go for a walk along the waterway. Also, if you are looking for a location for a graduation photoshoot or engage photos - this place would be highly recommended.

kelso4001: Pretty nifty waterfront park, it keeps getting expanded. Now besides the slick looking bridge, now the splash pad is back and there are more lookout points being added all the way east towards the Columbia Bridge. Now there is a hotel right on the spot and a small pier for docking boats or launching kayaks or any other boats. Great boardwalk, it just looks fancy. Nice works of art as well.

Melissa: It has a large beach area so it is never really crowded, at least not any of the times Ive been there & Ive been there many, many times. I love collecting rocks from there, theres a variety of colors, sizes and TONS of them! Sometimes there are some really cool pieces of driftwood too. I spend hours there just relaxing and enjoying nature. The water was really high this time when I went but it was high tide and had been raining for a couple of days at that point. The sunsets/sunrises are beautiful. I really enjoy it there!

IVY Lumpkin: I always passed by this park...its a nice park. Kid friendly, dog friendly (in fenced area), softball field, skateboard area. There is even a community garden space to grow vegetables and things. I liked the flat pathway thats accessible to everyone and the education plots with ideas for your own yard. Very nice park to bring the family for a stroll, picnic or whatever.

Crystal Atkinson: Really nice park! Only street parking in a residential area with a little walking path to the park. Perfect for strollers, bikes, scooters etc. Seemed very safe and no questionable people or activities going on. There are plenty of tables and benches with lots of shade throughout. Nice play structure! Just wish they had a merry-go-round and restrooms to make this an ideal park.
