5 /5 Tara H: We stayed at spot 73 in our glamper over the weekend (05/30/25 - 06/01/25). This park is by far the cleanest and most gorgeous one yet! The campsite is big and feels very private. Our site had water and electric hookups. There is a dump station by the ranger station. We did have to wait in line to dump during checkout time, so just be mentally prepared for that.
There is a paved trail that connects to the Apple Capital Loop Trail but we didnt explore it. It was our 1st trip here so we did some sightseeing and even drove to Leavenworth for dinner!
We loved the little store where we got milkshakes and Italian soda. They did have a very small selection of supplies that you might have forgotten to bring. Sunscreen, razor, fish bait, snacks. The water was cold but worth dipping your toes in! We didnt rent boats but it was awesome knowing we could if we wanted to.
We stopped by the lookout where you can see Lincolns facial profile and it amazingly looks like President Lincoln! We enjoyed this park and will have to come back.
