Yvonne Gal-Van: This is an impressive private collection of Military memorabilia. Dale met us at the door and was so welcoming and kind. We hung out for about 30 minutes. He walked us through the collection and he told us stories about the items, the folks and about the related conflict or war. Dale is a wealth of historical knowledge. I cant believe how much he knows and remembers. This is one of those places that every time you visit, Im sure you will find something new to talk about or see. A must visit for anyone that enjoys military history. Date of experience: August 2024

Priscilla: One of the coolest experiences you can ever do in Port Orchard. The train ride is absolutely beautiful. We took our 6 month old. She absolutely loved it. If you do have a little one remember to bring a baby carrier. That way your little one can go on with you. It’s one of the rules.
Howe Farm County Park - Port Orchard
    Howe Farm County Park
Mazzetta Marco: I recently visited Howe Farm County Park and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The park is beautiful and well-maintained. The dog park was one of the coolest Ive ever seen. The dense forest trail provided a unique and exciting experience for both myself and my furry friend. It was a great opportunity for my dog to explore new sights and smells, and we both enjoyed walking through the trees. In addition to the forest trail, the dog park also had a big field where the dogs could run around. The size of the park was also impressive - there was plenty of space for all the dogs to play without feeling cramped or crowded. I would highly recommend Howe Farm County Park to anyone looking for a great dog park experience. The combination of the forest trail and big field make it a unique and exciting destination that is sure to please both dogs and their owners. Five stars all around!

Nicole White: A hidden gem of a park. Very tranquil and reflective place to meditate, walk the labyrinth, and soak in the nature around you. Not much parking so go during low crowds. It was a beautiful day when we stopped by.

Tabitha #: I cant believe this was my first time here! I really enjoyed the beach and the sand was so soft. I wish it had a bigger beach part but definitely worth going. My daughter and I let the dog play made a sand castle looked for crabs and shells and relaxed with a picnic it was a great place to visit. And I almost forgot the view of Seattle and Mt. Rainier was stunning!
Scenic Beach State Park - Seabeck
    Scenic Beach State Park
Jesse Savage: Absolutely one of the most beautiful state parks in Kitsap County. Its breathtaking views, quiet campground, and beach access make it fun to explore. This park also is a great place for events, barbecues, or even hosting a wedding with incredible backdrop of the Olympic mountains across the Hood Canal.

Chris Huish: The gift shop is a beautiful collection of local artists. Enter the museum through the gift shop on the bottom floor. The exhibits are fun and entertaining though not professionally built. If you want a bit of the past in Port Orchard then go here. Plus its free!
    Remlinger Farms - Carnation
    Remlinger Farms
MS L: Picked strawberries today 6/1 in their north field at 6117 Carnation-Duvall Rd. There were signs preceding the turn in both directions. Parking was free and easy. There was a parking attendant to assist. Cardboard flats for strawberries were provided, and porta potties are on-site. They accept electronic payment, and it was $3/lb. Strawberries were nice and ripe. Not organic, but they use integrated pest management, and do not spray fruiting plants. There were quite a few people, but not overcrowded at 11am. It was fun to see families and their kids enjoying the start of summer!
Banner Forest Heritage Park - Port Orchard

Eric Broockman: We only walked a mile for our first visit, but we will be back. The map online for the park is useful. The park has nice signage with the trail names and the rescue points if needed. There is more varied topography than you might think given how flat the road is at the main parking lot. Nice. We will be back. So many choice between the big wide service road, the nice main trails, and the thinner branch trails.
Long Lake County Park - Port Orchard
    Long Lake County Park
Melody Stroud: We always have a great time at Long Lake there is a swing set and fishing large areas of grass to play on although theres not a giant place structure there are lots of trails and you can bring your dogs and you can walk them on the leash great for a birthday party or just a sunny time to barbecue and spend with family and friends
