They did the inspection and within a few hours, called me and advised what needed to be fixed or what could wait. I never felt pressured. They were upfront and honest. Work was done in 1 & 1/2 days. 5 /5 Katie Fennelly: I came here for a second opinion on an oil leak that another shop had diagnosed. NW Import confirmed the leak but were able to repair it for about half the price (don’t get me wrong, it was still a pretty penny, but it was a HUGE job). They also took care of some other items while they had the engine out, including a new clutch. I got to pick it up today and it feels like driving a whole new car, that clutch feels like stepping on a cloud. Everyone I talked to was super friendly and their communication was great. I felt like my car was in great hands. Will totally come back here for future maintenance.

My whole entire life I have always hated going to auto shops and taking my car in to have it looked at by mechanics. I’ve never felt like any shop is doing what’s in your best interest. Since I’ve been to Washington, I’ve been to two different shops, and I have to say all in all my experience with both places has been absolutely wonderful. I have to say by far though, Northwest import and domestic specialists is hands-down, my favorite auto shop in Vancouver. I took my car in roughly 2 weeks ago to have a compression check done. I’ve had several issues with my truck since I bought it 2 years ago and have fully expected that I was going to have to get my engine replaced. When I picked up my vehicle, one of the mechanics, was kind enough to have a 15 minute conversation with me about some things that I can do to potentially prolong the inevitable until I was in a better position replace the engine. I will not take my car any anywhere else moving forward. These guys are absolutely fantastic.

CrazyApfel: I found myself suddenly in need of an emergency mechanic – here I am, out of town in Portland, OR, and my oil pan is busted. If only someone could come right here, on Memorial Day weekend, and fix it for me so I can go home(yeah right)! He contacted me back, and said he could help. Not only that, but he comes to where you are(no need to have it towed to a shop)! It wasnt an easy fix, but Rick uses all means at his disposal. When it seemed he wasnt going to be able to fix it over the weekend, he prepared to tow it for us. Then, with it on the tow dolly he realized what he could do differently, and fixed it. Theres still a couple things I need my mechanic to do for it to be completely repaired, but Rick & his team took care of me & my son, did locate a new oil pan, put it on, and got it running. I was able to drive it over 200 miles home instead of having it towed. An experience for my son, and my wife and I are very grateful! Rick is an amazing person, keeping his word, and his way is to think of a way to get it done, and do it. If youve ever had a mechanic friend help you by working on your car, its like that. He drove us to a hotel when we had to stay a night, and he is intentional to be affordable. A man with integrity, and he applies that to his business. If you are on the road in NW Oregon or SW Washington state and have vehicle troubles, give Rick a call!

Keri Bushaw: I wouldnt give this place any stars if I could. Took my sons car there and they did fix the heater by manually flipping the switch. They told me they put new cables in and they couldnt figure it out. Then proceeded to charge me $350 and told me to bring it back in the spring so they could switch it back again manually. I told the guy if he couldnt fix it for under $1,800 then I didnt want it fixed. He even told me how much the part cost. Turns out I take it to a different shop and they said they dont think they even replaced the cables just zip tied The old cable to the instrument panel. I am out $350, which is not easy to come by for me. So I want to ask them how does it feel to scam somebody on disability? The worst part is they know I have brain cancer.
