5 /5 Jewels Lutovsky: This is a cool spot to take a walk, but it can be dangerous walking across the old tracks as there is separation, and you could fall through. This was my second time here, and both times, I saw grey herons. You can follow the trail all the way to a beach on the other side. There is homeless that live under the bridge also.

5 /5 Kai Spieler: Pretty cool place however definitely do not go alone. Go with a friend or a group of people because there are likely homeless people hanging around there and go during the day! Also be very careful crossing the bridge!

3 /5 Wildcraft Rose: A Unique tourist attraction. The railroad tracks are no longer in service. On the trail is a good view of the Friendship Bridge and there are seals, Heron, seaguls, and salmon in the water. Its a big wide open area and you can walk right under the bridge. I did come across a friendly homeless female near the tracks but the area seemed safe enough.

4 /5 Julie B: I came to the Rainbow Rails with a friend. We parked in a neighborhood at the top of the hill and walked down and had to figure out how to get here. I would suggest parking by Capitol Lake, crossing the street, and taking the dirt path under the road and it takes you right there. We were the only ones there. We didnt see any homeless people and we felt safe. I love that people beautify places. We came at low tide around 10:30 am. and saw lots of birds. It also has a beautiful view of the Olympia Capitol Building across the water. Watch your step!

5 /5 Jen Procick: Pretty rainbow painted rails along the waterfront. Easiest access would be to park along Capital Lake and walk under the bridge on the dirt trail. There is no bathrooms but it makes for a fun photo opportunity and we saw ducks and a couple of heron off in the distance. Watch your step, it does go over water and they are spaced apart with some in a need of repair. However my 6 1/2 year old managed it just fine. I would recommend any tide, but for photos it does look and smell better when not low tide!
