  • What Clients Are Saying about San De Fuca Community Chapel (on GG)
5 /5 Constance J Bowen: I believe the churches of this community, including San De Fuca Chapel are vital to the community. We are keeping The Gospel alive. Today I am seeing our youth being raised up in the TRUTH and lovingly encouraged to grow in their knowledge of Gods Word and in faith. We are a loving, small family. Our size makes us part of each other. We are able to encourage one another and take care of one another. I have an active part in the church. I am delighted with our prayer ministry. There are things happening at the chapel that inspire spiritual growth. Our pastor knows and loves Him and His Word. My prayer for San De Fuca Chapel is that the Lord will build our house. Amen Connie Bowen
5 /5 Amanda Hertlein-Martin: My husband and I were married by the previous pastor almost 15 years ago and have called San De Fuca home since then. We have brought both our two girls here and we have been blessed so much by being members of this church. It is such a warm and inviting atmosphere based in knowledge and understanding of the Bibles teachings. Attending this church has helped us grow so much in our faith and it has been so wonderful to be a part of this church.
4 /5 Guy Gifford: This very old renovated building was first a community center for the village of San De Fuca, was used for years as an evangelical outreach chapel by members of Oak Harbor Christian Reformed Church, pastored by Neal Norlag, an area bulb farmer. It eventually was permanently acquired by the community chapel, who renovated it. It has been a small chapel of between 35 and 50 faithful attendees for more than 50 years. They have held a tradition of a chapel annual picnic and annual Christmas pageant. Before permanent acquisition of the building, the men voluntarily built cabins for Camp Firwood in Bellingham Washington.
5 /5 Nancy Miller: Looking for a home town church this one fits the bill. Friendly people who are warm and welcoming.
5 /5 Ray Alger: Having fond memories of my wife Mary and I visiting you with our dear friends Bob and Marlene Moore. The cookies were delicious! The preaching and fellowship were wonderful. See you next year. Ray and Mary Alger....Florida

Terry and Katrina: From the moment we walked in, we felt a welcoming atmosphere. I dont normally enjoy the church experience, but this group of Christians is very warm and welcoming. Ive gone back every Sunday since. They are non-judgemental and have so many different ways to include yourself. They do a lot to give back in the community and their leadership is friendly and knowledgeable as well as available for new members. If your looking for a place to fellowship with other Christians, want to know more about Jesus, or are looking to find a home church, I highly recommend trying this congregation out.

St Augustines Catholic Church - Oak Harbor
Geoffrey Wampach: My wife is catholic and I was raised Baptist. From my perspective, I was always welcomed every week that I came. The priest and leadership were easy to access for both emails and sitting down to meet with. For someone unsure about joining the catholic church, Id highly recommend getting connected with St Augustine. My wife deeply appreciates the compassion and community in the parish. I have deep respect and love for this church in how they built up her faith. I believe that Father Paul regularly makes his homilies applicable to life while not straying from the gospel.
