Great place to learn every little detail about Seattle. Upon entering, I was immediately blown away by the massive main hall and the size of the artifacts and artworks being exhibited. The museum hosts an amazing collection of artifacts, methodically presented in a manner sure to captivate the visitor. I love the detail the museum put into their presentations, especially regarding the impact Seattle has globally through its industry and entrepreneurship. I really enjoyed the experience, save for the fact that parking is limited and not free.
Seattle Pinball Museum - Seattle Grace: It really interesting place to visit! They have a huge collection of pinball machines, ranging from vintage classics to more modern ones. It’s not just a museum where you look at things—you actually get to play the machines, which makes it a lot of fun.
One of the great things is that they limit how many people can enter at a time. That means you don’t have to wait too long for machines, and it doesn’t feel too crowded. It helps keep the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable.
Overall, it was a unique and memorable experience—perfect for anyone who enjoys arcade games or just wants to try something a little different in Seattle.
Statue of Liberty Plaza - Seattle - Joshua Fagan: The reason that there is a Statue of Liberty here is a tribute to New York city, which was the original namesake of the first settlement in what is now Seattle, New York Alki. It is a small but important statue commemorating the early history of Seattle and particularly West Seattle, where the Denny party first landed. I think understanding that is important: its not just that they wanted a mini Statue of Liberty here as a tourist attraction. Having spent my college years in New York, I found something very pleasantly nostalgic about seeing this replica of the Statue of Liberty here looking out over the rippling waves crashing against the song gray beach.
Sundial - seattle wa 98106 - Nick Sattele: What a wonderful attraction. Certainly a must do in Seattle. Great area and it even shows the time!
World Famous Giant Shoe Museum - Seattle J S: We really didnt expect the museum to be a wall with three coin operated viewing windows. It was really small but kind of neat. For $1.00 and five minutes of time, the museum is a finished. This was a whimsical display and totally unique.
Seattle Childrens Museum - Seattle Frooty: This place is a fantastic destination for kids of all ages, offering a wide variety of activities to keep little ones engaged and entertained for the entire day. From pretend play in the farmers market shopping counters to exploring the US mail truck and fire truck, the interactive exhibits provide endless opportunities for imaginative play.
One of our favorite sections was the art and craft area, which offers abundant materials to foster creativity and create memorable experiences for young minds. The construction and building zones are equally impressive, combining fun and learning as kids experiment and construct. The camping area, complete with a cave and engaging wildlife and nature displays, was another highlight of our visits.
We’ve been here a couple of times and always spend a full day exploring. The museum’s direct connection via the monorail is a huge plus, especially on rainy days, and the cafeteria above the museum level offers plenty of food options for a convenient break. However, parking can be tricky and expensive, so I highly recommend taking the monorail or a bus.
Overall, Seattle Children’s Museum is a must-visit for families looking for a day full of fun, creativity, and learning!
Harbor Steps Staircase Plaza - Seattle YNA: Harbor Steps in Seattle is such a cool spot! Its a series of interconnected walkways and staircases that lead down to the waterfront. The area is bustling with shops, restaurants, and even some beautiful fountains. Its a great place to explore and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of Seattle.
Kubota Garden - Seattle Steven: One beautiful garden with a variety of plants, trees, and shrubs. The entrance to the garden is inviting, then there is a giant bell to the right. The mazy trail gets to different places with beautiful flowers, waterfalls, and ponds inside this magnificent garden.
The staff does a great job with the landscaping and taking care of this place.
I highly recommend anyone visiting Seattle to come by and check it out.
Bruun Idun - Way of the Bird King - Seattle Sour Psycho: Came just to see the troll — totally worth it!
We made a special trip to Lincoln Park just to see the Bruun Idun Troll, and it did not disappoint. It’s massive, whimsical, and full of character. You can really appreciate all the work that went into it — from the recycled wood to the expressive face and posture. It felt like meeting a gentle giant from a storybook.
The setting is beautiful too — peaceful and surrounded by nature, which makes the experience even more magical. We spent some time walking around it, taking photos, and just soaking it all in. Definitely recommend making the trip if youre into art, nature, or just want to see something unique and creative.

Emma Schmitz Memorial Overlook - Seattle Derrick: This is a great beach to go for a walk. Their are amazing views of the mountains from this beach, and depending on the time of year you can occasionally see whales from the beach. There is an Elvis Presley marker, listed on one of the beach houses along the beach. This is a great place to spend the day and enjoy fantastic scenery.
