5 /5 Laurie Krous: Weve been attending Southside for 10½ years now. I can tell you that when the Pastoral Staff says theyll pray with & for you, they mean it. I know it can be a little unnerving when coming to a larger Church like Southside. Yet if you take the time to let someone know youre new, or even ask about some of the programs, Youth Group, Womens & Mens Groups or Small Groups we have going on, you will find people who will welcome you with open arms.
Both of my kids have had amazing time, learning, new friendships, great fun, inspiring adventures and so much love & support from all of the people & leaders in the Youth Group. I HIGHLY recommend getting your 7th - 12th grader involved. We have several kids that come & participate that either attend other Churches in the area or that dont have a home Church yet.
We have helped out on Saturdays with the Food Bank operations. It is a program that is always in need of volunteers. Plus its a lot of fun. Ive also been apart of the evening Womens Bible Study mainly, but have had a few chances to join in the group that meets in the morning. Both are a Great group of ladies to meet & study with. Theres always childcare for little ones of you need that. We have also over the years participated in the Marriage & Financial Peace studies. You will always learn more about your spouse & how to be financially prepared each time you participate in one of these study groups.
I have friends that attend/lead a couple other Adult Ministries Groups. One is the Moms Group meetings. Both the Moms & kids have a great time. There are 2 meeting times for the Moms Group, on the 1st Thursday of the month. Theres a morning & an evening option: 9:30am - 11:am or 6pm - 7:30pm.
The other group, Faith & Fitness, is lead by my dear friend Anna Steel. The Fitness includes a Bible study portion during the scheduled weekly time. Anna is a Certified Group Fitness Instructor & the Faith & Fitness Group meets online weekly.
Please come worship, learn & grow with us.
