Maria and her team were extremely kind and attentive, it was very welcoming. I showed Maria a photo inspiration plus my request and she nailed it. She gave me some tips on hair care, sheās very knowledgeable. I will be coming back! :)
Artix Hair & Beauty Salon - Bellevue Victoria Wan-yu Weng: Pei is very professional and passionate of her job, and she communicates with clients to make sure they get the style they want. She gave me advice base on the type of my hair and how to take care of it properly. I absolutely love the way how she cut and dye my hair. The studio is located at the ground floor of a luxury condo, itās very clean and quiet. I definitely will come back for her outstanding service and fair price.
WIN Hair - Bellevue Jordan Naval: Thao has been cutting my hair for like over a decade now! She mainly specializes in barber work but she does cut womenās hair too. Sheās very quick but thorough, Iāve never left disappointed. Weāve mainly done trims, sheās cut bangs on me a few times but Iāve gotten a bob from her like 2-3 times and have always gotten compliments! And she gives the best hair massages when sheās washing and shampooing your hair.
Lotte Hair Salon - Bellevue Ahi Kodak: Iām honestly not sure why this place has good reviews, I donāt think it is what it used to be AT ALL. DO NOT GO HERE!! I donāt ever take the time to write bad reviews but here I am. Iāve attached pics for reference.
I made an appointment for a BUTTERFLY haircut, with face framing curtain bangs, and lots of layers throughout, lots of volume etc.
Mindy (the owner) very confidently said over the phone that she could do this haircut. I showed photos for reference upon entering, and showed exactly how long I wanted my CURTAIN BANGS to be. Mindy went ahead and cut my hair to be ACTUAL BANGS, which are extremely uneven. ā¹ļø My hair looks horrid, I was dumbfounded looking at myself. Thank god I had to wait for my father to pick me up, or I may not have said anything. It looks god awful, nothing like what I wanted.
Mind you I have been getting the same haircut for 2 years now from different people, it has never turned out this vile.
I have Indian hair texture, with curly hair. She should have known that cutting my hair that SHORT would look horrible. I had shown her by pointing to the end of my nose/start of mouth, as where I would want the bangs to end, TWICE. It should be a hairdressers job to understand all hair types, textures etc.
Mindy had an electrician working on the lights, she was conversing with him the ENTIRE TIME she did my hair, barely paying attention. This was my first red flag but I was afraid to say anything. She then cut my bangs within not even a second, without confirming the length or anything.
When I told her I wasnāt happy with the haircut, I allowed her to try and fix it. She became passive aggressive and PUSHED ME with both her hands into the chair, and then proceeded to argue with me on how she gave me the correct hair cut, regardless of the fact that I had shown her pictures of me with the correct haircut. She started parting my hair in the front to show me how she did cut the proper length, but she was parting my bangs within open scissor blades as sheās speaking. She was pretty hostile and I immediately got up to tell her I feel really bad she gave me this terrible, uneven haircut, with horrible bangs, and absolutely cannot paying for it. She got angry and asked me if I donāt have any money, for which I said no, not for this bad haircut. I almost cried, and cried to my dad as soon as I got in the car. THANKFULLY I left without paying. DO NOT GO HERE.
I told her I only wanted a haircut with NO BLOWOUT. She did not like this at all, and was prepared to do a style on my hair that would only look good for one day with added hair products and heat styling. Not a style that would look good after a wash, for your natural hair.
I get a butterfly haircut because my hair is extremely curly and I love the way my bangs and layers NATURALLY sit with the style. I do not style my hair with heat, nor do I ever blowout my hair at a salon after a haircut. I voiced this to Mindy at the appointment and she acted as if I was insane, and kept trying to convince me to let her style my hair.
Iām not entirely sure why she was acting in this manner towards me, but I genuinely tried to give her the benefit of the doubt, especially since she had such good reviews on here. This place must not be the same it was to have such great ratings.
I am an Asian, like her, I understand that we can come off differently than we intend due to the language difference. I attempted to brush her demeanor towards me off, until she truly gave me a morbid haircut. Iāve never had to walk out of a salon, or not pay a service due to such disappointment.
There were so many things wrong with this experience, I would add more but that would just make this review more extensive than it needs to be. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Hair by Juliet K - Bellevue Serene Lestanguet: I had a great experience getting my hair done by Juliet! I have had a handful of appointments with her at this point and will continue to come to her for my hair in the future. She listened to what I wanted and gave input on what would really work with my hair to get my desired result. Not only that but she was also very friendly and easy to chat with. I highly recommend her to all my friends and coworkers in the area.
AK Hair Design - Bellevue Jan Kim Grumbles: Before going in to see Alice, my last professional hair cut was about 8 years ago. In between that time, I always ended up cutting my own hair because no matter who cut my hair, I almost always felt dissatisfied. I have thick Asian hair that is wavy in some parts and strait in other parts. Itās also dry so I struggle with frizz and keeping my hair smooth. Finding someone who was able to understand the texture and wave pattern of my hair was important to me. Iām so glad a close friend of mine introduced me to Alice because for the first time in 8 years, I can wear my hair down and be satisfied with how it lays on my shoulders. Despite my hair texture, Alice knew exactly how to cut and layer my hair. Even if I donāt use any products or style it, my hair still falls and settles so nicely. Alice was so great at asking questions regarding my hair goals and suggesting styles that would fit my hair type. She was also so fun to just talk to as she worked her magic on my hair! If it wasnāt for Alice, my hair would be constantly clipped up or under a hat. All this to say, Iām so glad I donāt have to cut my own hair anymore! Alice is the best ā BOOK HER for your next appointment!
Bella Off Main Hair Salon - Bellevue Lisa Voss: Leydi did a fantastic job cutting my hair based on the photo I showed her. She is warm, open and friendly. I have been in the greater Seattle area for 12 years and I finally found my hair stylist. She charge reasonably and doesnāt push for any products sell. She knows how to cut Asian hair too. Overall great experience!!
