5 /5 Joseph Sweat: Very diverse & friendly community of members inviting more community and all to join & worship GOD while helping one another & helping those in & outside the community. There are many different services, along with English, Korean, mixed Korean & English services and soon to begin Spanish. Early bird prayer is 7 days a week, theres daycare and even classes to learn a second language.(in-person/via zoom) Our church goes on missionaries to other countries spreading the word for all who want to hear. I have been going here 23 years now, they now have LIVE YouTube showings too. If you arent feeling well, you can worship in the privacy of your own home. This is a wonderful church and I look forward to seeing everyone every week. Listening to how the sermon will come into play in my everyday life, teaching me to become a better person. A kind person. A strong person. Come see for yourself. Masks are required for everyones safety and social distancing as well. Im a pretty quiet person, sometimes its hard for me to put things in words & share but our church has slowly began to open me up. With all the Covid safety precautions, its made them change protocols for the safety of the families that come to worship in person. Theyre only there to keep us as safe as possible from catching the virus. If for some reason you happen to leave a bad review for others to read after you come to a single service, please take a moment to consider that there is so much more than a single hour of service that shows how our church represents itself & the community. Theyve reached out to me when I needed guidance & prayed for my family & i when times were dark. Years ago when i was hospitalized the pastor and some members came by my side & prayed graciously for my health to recover, for multiple days. I was in awe by the kindness they showed me. So if you base your feelings of how this church is or any church is off of a single hour, well thats not a very fair interpretation to leave for others to choose whether they will bring themselves to Tacoma First Babtist Church or not. You cant expect to go to church one time & then bang, your life is changed. You have to be willing yourself to take the steps to grow. Then & only then you will see the best version of you. I am so blessed to have found this church. Hope to see you there soon. You too can be just as blessed as I am. :)
