1 /5 Nalena Cruzado: Not a pleasant interaction - Stopped in randomly on Thursday afternoon to ask about hair color and felt berated by the hair stylist/owner Lily (even the other stylists made comments about her response to me). Maybe it’s b/c I randomly stopped in (fair enough - I just moved to Seattle about a month ago and had extra time), but I would have happily done a consultation or come back another time had she said, “hey hun, I’m a little busy but set up a consultation for 15 minutes. And we can go from there.” But maybe not her style?
Instead I received, “listen, I wouldn’t bleach your hair. That’s me. What are you trying to pay? I would only do foils on you, Idn who did your hair but they didn’t tone it. Maybe you should have them do it again. This is a color correction you would need and it’s about $220…” etc. for like 10 minutes. I think I got like 4 sentences in - just to ask a question, “would you change the color?” and “I don’t mind the price”. Overall not my vibe. Where I’m from, if I approach someone with respect and calmness, it’s normal for it to come back…
