5 /5 Gregory Poe: Ive been searching in my faith for a while. This is the fourth church Ive been to in a few weeks. If you like Episcopalian liturgy, then this is a great place. As you can imagine, the congregation is a bit on the older side, but there are some younger folks with little kids. Almost everyone was white. Im an ally and I was excited to attend a church that was affirming, so I appreciated that aspect of it. That said, there were not pride flags on the altar. The service was not "about" LGBTQIA – It was about loving your neighbors, giving money to the poor, etc. The sermon was very engaging. The building is beautiful.
The best thing I can say is that, immediately after the church was over, I was personally invited by its members to have coffee and pastries. It seemed like the majority of the congregation stayed and they seemed to be great friends with each other. The people here are simply kind and inviting and I made several friends. I would go back, but I personally cannot see myself enjoying a church thats so liturgical.
