5 /5 Robert Blank: The yearly Christmastime event of Wenatchee is here every year and its not to be missed! Its called Journey to Bethlehem. It runs for about a week and admission is free. You are led in a group of about twenty at a time through a reenactment of the streets of Bethlehem surrounded by surly armored Roman centurions and busy marketplaces of street vendors having you touch and taste their various wares. You meet with various figures from biblical lore, the three wise men, the innkeeper, the local rabbi, the shepherds, culminating in a living nativity scene. It really is just a magical night and the various volunteers really dive into it. Afterward you get to warm up with some hot cider, cocoa and cookies. Its become our yearly family tradition.
