5 /5 Tonya Stephens: Try as I may, I am not very good at putting my trust in other people, or "trusting the process" when waiting for an end result. Ive had too many bad hair cuts and colors for that ish. I started out in Katherines chair with high optimism though; as she made sure I was quite comfortable (even putting a nice cushion under my knees for back comfort) and there was nice music playing. She knew how to set the mood. My eyebrows looked like two caterpillars ready for winter (Im assuming theyre fluffier in winter) and I needed help; bad. The disappointment began in my pessimistic mind when the wax that she put on didnt even burn, at all, and there was no way she put enough on for it to even cling to any of my hairs; especially the tiny ones. I just knew she left it on for too long too, cause when she did (gently) pull it off, it didnt feel like the hairs came with it, so I thought for sure we would have to start the process over. Now, this doesnt happen often; but get this: I was... wrong. My eyebrows were as fit and trim as I was before I had kids, and they couldnt WAIT to go flirt with my husband! I just knew everybody that was looking at me had eyebrow envy. I almost felt guilty leaving there as though I had treated myself to a little relaxing pampering session, rather than the usual ripping and tugging of my skin and hair follicles. If shes that gentle on the eyebrows, I can only imagine how gentle she is with other areas... Shes also quite fun to talk to; especially with her southern accent. 10/10 recommend!
