3 /5 Jason Van Camp: Another casualty of the perpetually online marketplace, the Wenatchee Valley Mall is slowly succumbing into irrelevancy, like most of its brethren, even the larger, more-densely populated ones. My only purpose in coming here was to seek out a store that was listed as open on Yelp, Google and the malls website, only to find that it had been permanently closed, as Id expected (since theyd announced their nationwide closure a few months prior), but hoped was correct. Sadly, it wasnt.
There may be a few useful stores left here (B&BW, Ross, Macys, etc), but the rest are likely to eventually sink below the surface, as the seemingly unstoppable rise of Amazon continues to grow until it overflows its banks, and drowns out all other competition.
