Penny Cory When we were married over 25 years ago, I was aware that the terms of my husbands divorce from his ex had provisions for a lifetime commitment to retain a life insurance policy to protect her from loss of income from his retirement, should he die before her. He has kept that commitment for 25+ years. As it has turned out, we all have lived beyond normal life expectancy, and the policy that has been in effect, is expiring, and he has become uninsurable except for a very few Insurance Companys, whose rates, if paid, would reduce his income to below poverty level. After calling some legal firms, who said we were "stuck", I talked to my brother, who was going through a divorce, and he suggested we call Pacific Northwest Family Law. Joshua A I hired Justin Huxford to help me get my property back. At first, he made it sound all good. Like i had nothing to worry about. But he basically took all my money for nothing. He never got any of my evidence turned in on time. Nor did he actually try to prove what I was saying. He was more interested in proving I was dumb and disabled the whole time. Which the judge didnt like. And he treated mine and my dads cases like they were the same case. Even didnt get any of my dads paperwork in as well. But still made sure to double bill us like it was two cases. All he did was lie and blow smoke. Never accomplished anything on my case. Promised discounts and never followed through. He even lied to the judge about me turning my gun in late. When he told me to get out of the courthouse and never emailed me the paperwork I needed until my mom asked him days later for it. But in the courtroom, he blamed me and my family. Dont fall for his lies and BS like I did. I guess I was just born to be taken advantage of. But Hey, Im still here

Crystal Moore First I will state the good, Melissa spoke very professionally to me and was very nice. She listened intently to my concerns and made me feel very heard. I paid Melissa 410$ for a one hour consult. I was told they would not take a contested case. I let Melissa know that my case though the other party may not be happy, would not be legally contested. I was feeling very hopeful about my case being taken on by this firm due to how thorough and understanding she was during my consult. After my consult I emailed asking what the next steps moving forward would be only to be told there was a large amount of cases on their workload and to contact back after the first week of October. I contacted back hoping to schedule the sometime the second week of October only to be told we cannot take your case and to look elsewhere. In the meantime I have been waiting while my case has continued to get worse hoping for this so go through as I am a single mother and the 410$ was not easy to just part with for a consultation. My honest opinion is though Melissa may in fact be a fantastic lawyer for the cases she chooses to take on, it was not professional or appropriate to to charge 410$ for an hour consult if she in fact knew she could not take my case at this time, this felt like a ploy to take my money and has left my pocketbook hurting while still searching for legal representation. By the time I pay another firm for a consultation I could be out another 200-400$ and still possibly not have someone willing to take this case at the end of the day. Charging for a consult when you know you cannot take a clients case is a very bad look for any reputable law firm or otherwise. Please be weary of the types of questions you ask about what a consult entails and what next steps would be before forking our hundreds in this economy.
