Sierra Peltcher I dropped in to Kulshan CrossFit during quarterfinals because I was on a family vacation to Bellingham and needed a gym to complete the workouts. Oddly enough, my home gym owner knew some folks at Kulshan CrossFit and got me in contact with Colby, the gym owner. He was so helpful in coordinating some times to come in and do the workouts since it isn’t your typical class drop in. I went to the gym and met Ashley, who was coaching the 8:30am class and was extremely accommodating and even cheered me on while I was off to the side just trying to complete the quarterfinals workouts so I could enjoy my vacation. She offered up some tips to help me on my power cleans which I really appreciated. Furthermore, she went as far as offering to show me some breakfast spots around Bellingham as she found me outside trying to search for a nearby cafe! I gladly accepted her offer and she gave me a ride to the Bagelry and gave me a quick overview of the city as it was my second time there. This experience at Kulshan is why I love CrossFit. They truly went out of their way to make me feel comfortable in their space and I got such a great sense of community at Kulshan. Ashley even offered to let me play whatever music I wanted during my workout so I wouldn’t have to wear headphones! It really made me feel included and I feel like I have a gym away from home to come to when I come back to Bellingham! I would highly recommend checking this place out!

Riley Fowler This gym has such a positive, welcoming environment—not just for members but for staff too. The team is supportive, hardworking, and always willing to help one another. The members were always kind and made the job fun, and I loved being able to greet familiar faces every day. If you’re looking for a place to work out or even a place to work, I’d absolutely recommend this gym. It’s a community that genuinely cares about people’s health, goals, and overall experience.

Allie Macomber Gritworks has been an absolute game-changer for our family. Both of my kids - my 13-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son - have benefitted tremendously from their program. My daughter had been struggling with persistent knee pain that was starting to take the joy out of sports for her. The Gritworks team not only addressed the pain, but got to the root of the issue. They focused on strengthening her hips and building a strong foundation, and the results have been incredible. She’s now moving with more confidence and strength, and is back to doing what she loves without discomfort. My son has been in the program for about five months now, and the progress he’s made is undeniable. His speed, agility, and overall strength have taken a huge leap forward. He’s more coordinated, more powerful, and maybe most importantly, he’s really enjoying the process. We can’t recommend Gritworks enough. Their approach is intentional, encouraging, and grounded in helping kids develop strong, resilient bodies and minds! Whether your child is recovering from injury or just looking to level up in their sport, Gritworks is an incredible resource.

Mellissa Moultray I’ve been coming to Iron Mountain for a few months now and have had a fantastic experience taking classes with both Kim and Christian. They are kind and supportive, making sessions super enjoyable and motivating. Since starting, I’ve seen a significant improvement in my back pain and energy levels. The classes are well structured, easy to follow, and cater to all levels- this was a huge concern of mine not having much experience in a gym. Glad I found this place. Highly recommend! :)

Rick Ann Marie Bellingham Jazzercise is so inclusive and nonjudgmental. Everyone is welcome. It is a fun and very well rounded exercise program including cardio, strength and flexibility. Both high and low impact options are available with the dance moves. All the instructors are great about cuing moves and making sure to teach how to do the moves correctly to gain the most benefit. Lots of in person and live stream classes are available. Routines are choreographed to current popular music. And you cant beat the price. I have never liked exercising but I actually look forward to doing Jazzercise 4-5 times a week!

Dylan Toomey Gyms for the most part offer everything you could need equipment wise, but not every gym offers a sense of community and inclusiveness. Being a member of anytime fitness since 2019, I have been a frequent of many of the locations but this gym in fairhaven is in a league of its own. With an extremely friendly staff, training sessions, and clubs, this gym will give you anything you would be looking for to start or continue your gym journey. Well maintained equipment, organized weights, clean bathrooms, this gym has it all. I unfortunately just moved out of the area but as the gym is a super important part of my life, I will deeply miss this gym. Although I did not part take in really any of the broad group trainings or clubs, I will truly miss the lively hood that this gym produces. With a community that ranges ages, it had something to offer for everyone. I hope the staff at the gym continue to do well and I hope this gym continues to thrive! Definitely will hit this gym back up whenever I come to visit Bham!

Eric Palmer Best climbing gym Ive been to! The atmosphere is so amazing here. Ive never been to a gym where everyone is so positive and supportive of each other. The bouldering is great for a range of skills, staff is friendly and attentive. There are weights, a slackline, gear to rent and buy and a great lounge area upstairs. After hours the gym is still open to members which is nice if you want to have some gym time to yourself and bump your tunes on their audio system. Oh, and memberships are super affordable and include free yoga, how can you beat that!?

Noah Silverman I’ve been going to Training Grounds for a few years. Moved out of town and tried 3 other gyms, none of which could even come close to meeting the bar. Probably the best gym that you will ever find. My wife and I always found ourselves wishing that we were back at TG. Plenty of equipment for everyone, even during peak hours. Tons of variety for whatever form of fitness that you are into. A great staff who take pride in what they do, their gym, and their members.

Maricel F. I really love working out at Anytime Fitness kellogg Rd, Bellingham branch. The staff are super accommodating and approachable, especially Jordyn, she’s always so friendly and helpful. Everyone here is respectful, and I feel completely safe even when I work out late at night. The equipment might not be the newest, but everything works great and gets the job done. Big kudos to the whole team for always being there and willing to help. You can really tell they care about their members!

Dominique Great studio, workout, instructor, and music. First time trying Basecamp and had a great experience - I took Nick’s Tuesday morning class (RIP my legs), and it was a phenomenal workout for muscle building. I’ve neverrrrrr liked classes like F45, OTC, etc. but this class was such a vibe! The music & lighting really made the class, and the clear and helpful instruction from the instructor (as well as the front desk). Happy there is a workout class like this finally in Bellingham. Excited to come back!

Don Hall When I moved to town, I shopped around at a few large Bellingham fitness centers, none of which were quite what I was looking for. Then I visited Anytime Fitness/Barkley Village and found a great fit for me. Ive now been a member for 18 months. It has really been an enjoyable and rewarding experience. The facility is clean, well-organized and has all the equipment I need. They have small group and 1-on-1 training opportunities, which are excellent. What really distinguishes Anytime Fitness/Barkley Village is the high caliber of the people who work there. To a person, they are extremely knowledgeable, naturally enthusiastic and helpful, and genuinely interested in their clients. My fitness and overall health have improved significantly thanks to Charley and the rest of the AF team. I highly recommend Anytime Fitness/Barkley Village.

Tami Vogel Coach D at Wildwoods is excellent! Daniel balances the class beautifully and all participants receive individual instruction for proper form as well as a healthy dose of encouragement! My teenage son and I joined together and it’s been a really positive experience. Come try it out…you will be encouraged in your own life journey as well as be surrounded by other really friendly participants.

D Foster Started Barre3 on a whim and I’m so grateful to be able to go weekly. The facility is beautiful, the signature (my top jam) leaves me feeling mentally and physically empowered and the instructors are stunning women. I’ve never felt so welcomed, encouraged and inspired! All shapes, sizes and fitness levels are treated equally and modifications are offered on every move. Absolutely worth the investment in oneself.

A Donovan Our children took swim lessons July and August 2025. The instructors are awesome and great with the kids. Eric and Leo were the main instructors for the kiddos and I would highly recommend coming here for lessons. Great community feel, good vibes. More than 5 stars!
