Tim Anderson Totally disgusted with American Family Ins; not directing this directly at my local agency though. My policy was up for renewal, and after hearing stories about rate increases in auto/home owners, I was kind of expecting a rate increase myself. My jaw hit the floor when I had approximately a 60% increase in my premium, which went from roughly $425 per month to $697 per month. No accidents, tickets, but one claim for a windshield replacement ($1000) in the past 10 years. Thier justification for it was something about Covid restrictions being lifted, and the Tacoma area zipcode had an increase in accidents, non of which I felt was my problem, but it obviously was. I wish the local agent all the best, however; I just had to move on. Now I have a premium with the same coverage for about 25% less than what it was prior to the AmFam increase.

koch4101 I used to be able to call direct and speak with either Mandon or someone in his office. All calls now redirect to phone tree with reps that can’t explain half of the questions I need answers to. My monthly rates literally jumped from $188 to $419 for two cars. No new tickets or claims. Plan on shopping around tomorrow.
