**Review for Attorney John Bonin, PS**
Mr. John Bonin is an absolute lifesaver and my hero. Even though we have never met in person and he knew nothing about me, he still returned my call after I left a voicemail late at night while in deep distress. His compassion and willingness to help someone in need, without hesitation, truly sets him apart in his profession.
At just 31 years old, I am now fully disabled due to a very serious work injury I sustained while working under extremely unsafe, OSHA-violating conditions at Vigor Shipyard. Following my injury, I was unlawfully terminated, and my health insurance was cut off when I was supposed to still have coverage. As a result, I have accumulated tens of thousands of dollars in medical debt. To make matters worse, my pension and 401(k) contributions—both of which were supposed to be 100% matched by my employer and union—were taken from me.
My injury was not a single event, but rather the result of many months of grueling, physically demanding, and dangerous work at Vigor Shipyard. I performed mechanical repairs on Washington State ferries, U.S. Navy destroyers, barges, car haulers, and fishing boats. Over time, I suffered a herniated L3/L4 disc, multiple bulging discs in both my lower back and cervical spine, thoracic outlet syndrome, and permanent nerve damage in both hands, feet, arms, and legs. I have been diagnosed with degenerative disc disease, cervical radiculopathy, and neuropathy. My grip strength is almost gone, and I live with constant pain that prevents me from sleeping through the night. I can no longer bend over or even put on my own socks without my wife’s help.
This is a devastating change for me. I used to be a Division I college athlete in both basketball and football. I set records as a point guard in high school and at the Washington State tournament, was named all-conference in both sports, and earned multiple Player of the Week honors from Comcast. I had a stack of athletic scholarships to Division I and II universities and even opportunities to play basketball professionally overseas.
My injury is directly related to my work at Vigor Shipyard. In addition to my physical injuries, I have suffered almost complete hearing loss and severe memory issues, likely due to prolonged exposure to toxic chemicals, asbestos, and other hazardous substances on the job. I am not alone—other union members and employees, both current and former, have experienced similar issues, including hearing loss and cognitive problems. Tragically, there have been multiple deaths among coworkers and fellow union members due to Vigor’s negligence and the lack of safety protocols. The number of OSHA violations at Vigor Shipyard is staggering.
Despite all of this, Mr. Bonin took the time to listen to my story and offer guidance when I needed it most. His empathy, professionalism, and dedication to helping injured workers like myself is unmatched. I am forever grateful to him for his support and for being a true advocate when I felt completely alone and powerless. he also referred me to a very reputable Law Firm who could best assist me.
If you are in need of an attorney who genuinely cares and will fight for your rights, I cannot recommend Mr. John Bonin highly enough. He is truly one of a kind. thank you Mr. Bonin - and all of Bonin Law for pointing me in the right direction. If I hadn’t come in contact with you guys, I don’t know where me and my wife would be. Thank you for all that you do for Native American tribal member families, like ours who have faced massive discrimination, and hardship as a result of my work and employers and my union negligence. We have been victims in all of these things, and no one would fight for us except for John and his legal team and his recommended legal firm. Highly recommend!!
