5 /5 Danielle Russell: My two boys recently started training at Gritworks as part of the Junior Grit program, and I’ve been incredibly impressed with the experience. From the beginning, Michael and David have been extremely welcoming and made us feel like part of the family. The training environment at Gritworks is positive, fun, and supportive—truly a place where young athletes can grow both on and off the field.
One of the things I love most is their focus on developing the whole athlete. They start with the basics—proper movement patterns, mechanics, and foundational strength—and layer in speed, agility, and power development. Just as importantly, they emphasize the importance of lifelong habits, such as good nutrition, quality sleep, and recovery. These core principles are established on Day 1. At Gritworks, they truly recognize and understand that while sports may not last forever, the habits and skills they form as young athletes today are key to their future as healthy and active adults.
As a former Division 1 athlete, I can confidently say that this training is extremely valuable and both age and developmentally appropriate. I wish I had access to this at their age! The mentorship, encouragement, and friendships are just as impactful as the workouts. We feel incredibly grateful to be part of the Gritworks community!
