LA Fitness - Covington (WA)

1 /5 Jazmine Kushin: Staff is horrible and rude- Whoever the manager is at Covington location is rude and inconsiderate. Ive gone to this location for YEARS and never had an issue till speaking with this lady. I applied for Pilates and never went into a single class due to becoming pregnant within the last few months. I continued to pay the $108/month for I believe 2-3 months which is fine because I never made it a priority to cancel it myself. I have recently called them a total of 4 times to cancel my pilates membership BEFORE the next monthly payment and they failed to answer or get back to me. First call, no answer. Second and third call, I had a lady at the front desk take my number down and tell me someone would reach back out to me- not one single call back. Fourth call, I got ahold of the manager and she was nothing but rude and had a stuck up attitude by saying "Well, Im the manager and I was willing to help you but you can either cancel it online or go into an LA Fitness location now"- all because I asked her why I had to pay the monthly payment when they are the ones who failed to reach back out to me. Again, I have gone to this location for years, disregarding the last few months, and have never had an issue. Ive always made all my payments on time and dont complain about anything so to talk to someone who has the attitude of a teenager is crazy to me. I was also calling to pause my actual gym membership because 1 Im pregnant and truthfully do not have the energy or time to go currently and 2 Im currently going through a bankruptcy case so it only made sense to pause the membership until I was ready to return. Which I was fully set on returning to the Covington location as me AND my boyfriend both go regularly- but by the sound of the manager, she couldnt care less on our satisfaction or if we return or not. Horrible way of handling things.

1 /5 Madison Cutler: Staff didnt explain the annual fee that is due 2 weeks after signup so I was hit with a surprise charge of over $120 (2 members) that was very frustrating. Customer service seemed very unhelpful and unknowledgeable on their own agreements. If youre looking for a new gym I would recommend looking somewhere else.

1 /5 Hasan Taşkoparan: This gym is a complete mess and a waste of money. I booked the racquetball court (Court 1) for 8:00 AM and when I showed up, I was told it no longer exists and has been turned into a pilates studio. (Racquetball sahası tamamen kapatılmış, pilates salonuna çevrilmiş.) Then why the hell are you still taking reservations for it? I sat there like an idiot for an hour waiting for something that doesn’t even exist. My friend drove a long way just to play and we both got screwed over. (Arkadaşım sırf bunun için uzaktan geldi, ikimiz de rezil olduk.) This isn’t even the first time. Almost every time I come here, something is broken. The sauna doesn’t work, there’s no hot water, and the hot tub (sıcak su havuzu) is constantly out of order. Last time, my pregnant wife was using the swimming pool and a group of 4-5 kids kept jumping around and disturbing her. (Eşim hamile, yüzme havuzunda yüzmeye çalışırken 4-5 çocuk yanına zıplayarak havuza atladı.) Jumping into the pool is supposed to be against the rules, but no one from the staff did anything. This place is seriously overpriced for how badly it’s run. Zero management, zero accountability. So many people are complaining but nothing ever changes. If you care about your time and money, stay far away from this gym.

3 /5 Arash Soltani: Pros: Gym is clean and there is ample space for different workouts including weights, cardio and classes. The parking is spacious. Cons: Cardio equipment is either broken or very old and not monitoring anything useful. Unsure why they do not upgrade section by section. Weights are very unorganized. I think they might be able to restructure this gym for better usage of the space. I feel that some locations are packed while some are not. I think the W Seattle branch is much smaller but it has been structured way better, feeling cozy. Lastly nor equipment has screen neither TVs are good. Probably the oldest LCD you can find in the market.
