Brandon Nootenboom I purchased a new to me 2020 X7 that had been regularly maintained with receipts, but at 90k miles I wanted a professional opinion, recommendations and a full inspection. Upon speaking with Graydon, we agreed it would be a good idea to do a complete fluid and filter change as preventative maintenance. Patty Meritt Fantastic service! Janelle and her team really know their stuff and their service is exemplary. They fit us into the schedule so we could catch the ferry to Alaska, and they kept our classic car under their care, garaged every night until we were ready to sail. They found a small fuel leak and repaired it. That could have been a huge problem for us. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

Booth Jacob (goronfood) Would never take my vehicle here again, and will tell anyone who will listen about the terrible experience I had with Unlimited. They will perform bad work and refuse to take responsibility. They are extremely disorganized and will lie to you about the repair timeline to cover their own lack of action or their forgetfulness. Everything was weeks later than they estimated, they would never call me to update me, and on top of that they were always "right about to call me" any time I took it upon myself to call for an update. On multiple occasions they tried selling me a new battery claiming that mine tested bad. I had just purchased this battery, so I declined and had mine tested at an OReillys where I purchased it, and it was found to be perfectly fine. The owner, Todd, is married to the service writer/manager, Janell, so imagine how escalating an issue through this company works. They know they have the advantageous position and will not even entertain the idea that their techs (or Todds wife and employee/co-owner Janell) may have made a mistake. In my experience, Todd resorted to personal insults and claimed I was a liar. You might have a good experience here; the reviews indicate that sometimes they do a good job. Id just recommend sparing yourself the potential hassle and go with a reputable mechanic that wont string you along, especially if you have a Subaru with engine issues. Jacob Loisel I took my 2004 Silverado in for some repairs and Alex was very honest and easy to work with. Alex was up front with how much it will cost and there wasn’t any surprises on the bill. He isn’t trying to rip people off like other shops would and he looked over the whole truck and found some other needed repairs. As well as recommending what should be replaced in the future. I would recommend him to anyone. Very professional automotive shop I won’t go anywhere else. Make the right decision and call Alex he will get you back on the road worry free.

Andrew Clemans I was changing spark plugs for my sisters car it broke the threads and was stuck. Needed a shop to help finish the job and called several. SK was the only one willing to give me a quote and it was incredibly reasonable for the work that was completed. We brought it in over the weekend and they were done by Tuesday morning, faster than any other shop had estimated. All of this with a phenomenal inspection done on the car with great recommendations and no hard pressure to my sister for needing to complete extra work. Fast, transparent, great communication, and very reliable. I have worked in the service industry in Whatcom County for five years and if you need a shop to work on you European vehicle this is ABSOLUTELY the spot to bring your car. Carrie Harris I’ve had an issue with my X5 having a hesitation on acceleration for about a year. I have taken my car to 4 other garages, and no one was able to duplicate the problem. The service manager ( Charlie) at SK motors assured me they could find and fix the problem! (I had lots of questions...) The mechanic took pics of all the issues he saw, while preparing the estimate, SK Motors was able to get all the needed parts quickly and get the new transfer case installed and ready to go the next day. Just a suggestion: I do appreciate the free car wash ticket that I received with my receipt, however , I’d prefer to have the car already washed when I pick it up. SKMotors did a great job, my car’s running smoothly , no more issues, plus the estimate was more than I actually paid for the repairs. I’ll be making the drive from Oak Harbor to Bellingham for repairs and regular maintenance on my X5 in the future.. I highly recommend SK Motors, the facility was clean, the employees were friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. All in all a very good experience . Thank you

paul hanaoka Mike and Peter run a great shop, while it can take a few days to get on the schedule I see that as a positive sign! Even tho it can be inconvenient - it forces me to think ahead and plan. They do a great job servicing my car, and are great about catching potential issues without being overly pushy/salesy. Steven Wallace My check engine light came on. Pros: Friendly. Quick to get an appointment. Diagnostic process was thorough and code confirmed. (They didnt just pull a code but tested the turbo, response, and verified symptoms.) Performed a 3-part EGR chemical cleaning including both intake and exhaust sides. No up selling. Visual inspections. Fixed the problem!! Cons: I was originally told a price that was $300.00 less than the final bill. The diagnostic service was evidently not included in the price. To avoid "sticker shock" clarifying the out the door price. If not for that, I would have given 5 stars.

Lindsay Hoefert The family who owns and operates Unlimited Service are amazing along with all their employees. We brought in our Promaster campervan after hearing a loud noise and having a dealer diagnose it as the front wheel bearings. We are currently living out of our campervan so getting work done on it is a huge hassle if it takes more than a full day. After being strung along by different dealers telling us they had parts on order only for us to show up to our appointment time with them not having the correct parts, we were a bit on edge and called the shop several times ahead of our appointment to confirm the parts were still coming. Everyone we talked to was super helpful rather than annoyed, and they actually understood the implications of us living out of the vehicle they were servicing. They even noticed that our license plate light was out and fixed it without us mentioning it! Ultimately we still have some of the same noise that we originally had but I do NOT fault the guys at Unlimited Service at all since they did not diagnose the issue originally--they did exactly as we asked based on information we had. They test drove the car after the bearings were replaced and noticed the noise remained so they did some additional tests, rotated the tires, and just generally went above and beyond. I still owe them a callback from them checking in on me a couple days after my service to see how the noise was (I was out of cell service for a few days). I have never had a mechanic care as much as the people here. If Bellingham is on our route when we head back from Canada in the campervan, we will definitely be using Unlimited Service to help fix our issues (and letting them diagnose rather than bringing in a diagnosis from a dealer). Highly recommend! Im a bit sad we dont live in Bellingham full time just so I could use this mechanic!
