Lisa was lightning fast with my watch fitting! Even ran back and forth to ensure it was the perfect size for me. Ashley Narvel I have been going to tropics since literally the first day they opened their first location. When he had no employees just him and his kids. They have always been fair and honest. I’ve bought stuff, sold stuff, pawned stuff in emergancy. I wanted to give five stars but today I went in to pay and as I’m leaving the girl that’s working says something about “dam that girl stink” I called and confronted her and of course she backtracked and said no it was about a dude that was shady. I just got out of the hospital yesterday and had to work in a nursing home today and I come in to pay my bill and that’s how I’m treated. I miss when they were still humble and kind now it’s like every other pawn shop in Vancouver

Chad Kisamore I arrived just after Tim had opened. I was stunned at the wide variety of amazing items from all cultures and time periods. We began talking and I was looking for a very specific set of pens made by Parker in the 1970s. Tim went in the back and low and behold he had them. We agreed on a price and I will always drop by from now on when in town. Dont miss this gem of a store and say hello to Tim he is a genuinely great person!

Jodi McClain I have to take a moment to rave about my experience with Don. My husband and I decided somewhat last minute to renew our vows. It was something that we have been thinking about for a while and we knew we wanted to get new rings to exchange. We had looked all over at basically every jewelry store you can think of in the mall or online. I was not finding what I was envisioning in my mind anywhere. That’s when I decided to try to contact a private jeweler and see if we could custom design something. I happened to reach out to Don kind of on a whim after driving by and seeing his store. I let him know the scenario and that we were in somewhat a tight window of five weeks to when I would need the jewelry by. He was very prompt and accommodating to get me into the store to talk about my ideas that I had. From the initial meeting, to picking out my diamonds, to my wax design, and finally to my final product, I could not be more ecstatic! He walked us through every step of the way. It was so exciting to see the vision come to life. Now my husband and I both have one of a kind pieces to cherish forever. I am truly thankful for Don and his craftsmanship.

Recently, I came back and had the best experience with Alyssa. She went above and beyond to help me, making me feel so confident and excited about my purchase. Her kindness, patience, and genuine care made the whole experience unforgettable. It’s rare to find someone who makes you feel that special while shopping, but Alyssa truly did. Jade Marie Scam artist! Wish we would have read the comments before making a purchase. My spouse bought me two rings for Christmas. The first one was white gold with an amethyst. Not even a week later the stone fell out. I don’t have a job that’s rough and take my rings off to do dishes etc. so the fact that it fell out within a week is ridiculous. Then when we read the comments this happened to someone else as well. They wouldnt do anything to help or replace the stone. The second ring is white gold, diamonds, and tanzanite. Well we were lead to believe it was a tanzanite but not even a month later and the stone is becoming clear/see through and most definitely not real. I’m not going to stand by though and do nothing. I’ve contacted the BBB, Westfield Mall (we’re they are located), and will go to the news if I have too. The fact that they are getting away with ripping people off infuriates me. We work hard for the things we purchase and want these things to be nice. At the very least last longer than a week!! I would recommend never stepping a foot in this jewelry store if you value your money.

Gilbert McKown First off, Kevin is the best! I come in wanting to buy some gold and silver as an investment for the future. I wasnt sure what I really wanted, but Kevin knew exactly what questions to ask me. He was totally transparent about what he would buy as good deals and pointed out the things that werent good deals, and some fun items to have as a collectable. Super informative and humble enough to admit when he didnt have all the information. After buying my coins and making it home, some of the numbers didnt add up on my receipt. I gave them a call and everything got sorted out instantly. Kevin was so nice with a "Merry Christmas" to end the call. This was an incredibly pleasant interaction and so much better than any experience I had with other main brand coin shops. I 100% recommend shopping here for anyone wanting to buy gold or silver. Crary Nathaniel “Preston” Had a very bad experience working with Tani to design a custom engagement ring. This would have been the 2nd ring we purchased at this location after having a good experience picking out a promise ring. We wanted to do business here as it’s local. Tani misrepresented herself on our first meeting giving us the impression that she was creating the cad for the ring so we stuck with her longer than we should have - her sole job is customer service and our complaint is on the service alone. Misses on her end include: - Not having a cathedral setting on the first design after we had said that’s what we want. - Communicating timelines several times that were never met and not following up with us after her own timeline had lapsed. She blamed this on the team but a followup email would have been sufficient. - Showing us a diamond that didn’t meet my requirements after having us wait and go to the store to see it. I wasn’t looking for a yellowish diamond. - Not sending updated pdfs after correcting the design and resending the old one when asked for the updated one. - Dismissing questions my girlfriend asked about how to best secure the center stone. - Giving an apology that didn’t acknowledge her mistakes but instead focused on where her team caused delays and how we didn’t communicate well enough when we let her know we decided to go with another jeweler. The other jeweler we went with was awesome and helped us complete a design with several personal touches in under a week while we wasted a month of back and forth with Tani.

Jackson Zeiner I really, really wanted to like this spot as I enjoy their style quite a bit. That being said, I spent $80 on a flannel (that was on sale) and within less than a week buttons started following off and weve had to re-sew them on numerous times. Id expect that from a $20 flannel off amazon but not from one that cost this much.

They were helpful and answered all my questions so I able to conduct my business in a timely manner and go about my day. The store was well organized, and very clean. I definitely will go back.

However, with the customized and personal shopping experience that I have received by Diana the Jeweler made my purchase even more delightful. I got baptized and was looking for a cross to symbolize my faith, she worked with me in personalizing and finding exactly what I wanted. jesselyn carpenter The jewelry itself is fine, normal quality, but both times I’ve visited I’ve asked for a size 4g, been told “these two rows here” so I pick from those rows, and not until I examine them later do I notice that they aren’t a size 4 at all. Last time I got a size 2 which I haven’t worn and probably will never size up to, this time I got three pairs - one was a size 2, one a size 6 and one a size 4. When I tried to tell the girl that rung me up that they weren’t the right sizes, she told me she couldn’t do anything about it because she wasn’t allowed to do returns. I said it wasn’t my fault, that she told me 2 minutes prior that they were all a size 4, but she said her boss won’t let her do an exchange for the right size. Like whatttt? I get that sanitary reasons are a thing, but she sold me the wrong size straight up and then said she can’t take them back. I’m now out $20 for the pieces of jewelry that I can’t wear (the 2s and 6s). Make sure to CHECK SIZES for yourself before buying because they are unorganized and won’t help you after they swipe your card.

laurie Burkhalter I have to give my praise to them! I am so happy with getting the ring sized of my late grandmother. It’s my wedding ring now and the price was amazing. I brought a watch in that another store couldn’t get the back off and I think 6 or 7 more repairs that were minor but they did a great job and didn’t treat me like the minor repairs weren’t worth their time. Better than anywhere else.
