Jennifer Thompson Today I attended the Grace Babtist Church on Agate road and I was more than satisfied with my choice. It is out in the country, 10 minutes away from home. The pastor and his wife were very welcoming and friendly. I like the fact they preach from the KJV and they are teaching the true gospel of Jesus Christ. The worship service was nice and and reverent to God. It was nice to hear Gospel truth and not a watered down version of it. It was nice hearing hymns instead of a full on concert. I am looking forward to going next week.

Amber Tabares My husband and I have been attending for a couple years and we really love it. When my husband first started going he wasnt a believer but he loved the preaching so much because of its relevancy that he finally came to Christ last year and was just baptized this past fathers day. The music is a nice mix of modern contemporary praise as well as the old familiar hymns all played by a live band. They have Sunday school for ages 4 to highschool and a great nursery for the little ones. They also have two Sunday morning services which is nice for the late risers.

Well I go there, so it has to be the best, well... the best place for someone like me, someone who has gone through broken times, and needed to hear the gospel spoken from the pulpit in ways my hard ears could hear, and hardened heart could understand. This church is more then just a bunch of people getting together to listen to a sermon, they are people who have also walked through life, through pain, and have still found healing from God and continue to speak life into the Shelton Community. For me finding a church is not about finding a glorified country club, I want something real, real gospel, real people being real about there struggles, And I found that, and feel like I am part of a group of friends I am thankful to call my brothers and sisters.

Jacob Manning Shelton Presbyterian was very welcoming, the front-door deacons were friendly and informative. The Sunday school and current teachers were very friendly and understanding and accommodating. The church is clean, and the atmosphere felt good. The seats are comfortable for worship. The overall experience was good. I would however love to have more time with the sermons compared to the singing and worshiping. But that is just my personal preference. The make of the congregation seemed to be of an older generation, BUT They were very welcoming of youth and younger members seeking a new place to call a home church. You do not have to wear a suit and tie or dress and heels to fit in here. Which makes it very easy to feel accepted and acceptable in a house of worship.

Ryan Moore Went to check out Shelton Presbyterian church for the first time today and loved it. We have been looking for a new church since buying our new home in a new town, and had attended some other churches in the area but after todays service we felt like we found a new home. The people were very welcoming, the pastor was amazing, super positive and helped describe todays readings in a way that anybody new to the Bible or church would feel comfortable and understand. Finally the music was awesome, seriously the musicians and the singers were amazing. We always feel a church that we want to settle in and become part of needs to speak to us when we go, previous churches that weve joined in other parts of the country, the first time wed go the message seemed like God was hitting us over the head with the message, typically things that we have been dealing with that week lol and it felt like that today, it was a great feeling to find someplace that just felt right for us. If youre looking for a positive laid back but friendly Church I would definitely suggest giving Shelton Presbyterian a chance. We will definitely be going back as regulars.

Jessica Dawson We went for a baby baptism, which is different than I expected as I had never been to one before. The reverend was very relaxed and relatable. The sermon was incredible and moving. Everyone was warm and welcoming, and my 4 year old twins had fun at the nursery, and even got to go outside on the playground. Definitely will go back next time we are in town.

Mary Burke Lovely Church. Many diverse programs folks can take part including daily Mass except Monday when the pastor has a day off and the church office is closed. Very friendly people to meet and greet. That includes the pastor who is very hospitable.

Amber Hart This church has a Mexican service on Sunday afternoons that is entirely disruptive to the neighborhood, especially those with small children who nap and those of us that work nights and sleep during the day. When I confronted the owners they assured me that the noise level would be dealt with and that they did not want to make bad on their reputation in the neighborhood and yet here it is Sunday afternoon and yet again the Mexican church meet is EXTREMELY LOUD AND WE CAN HEAR THEM INSIDE OUR OWN HOUSE CLEAR AS DAY WORD FOR WORD! The owners are well aware of how loud the church service is since they are currently there. Sad that a church claiming to worship God cannot even bother to respect the neighborhood and treat neighbors the way they preach people should.

Sarah Morse The church is not a building. My Grandma and Father were one of the first residents on the island. So if you say a new building is whats needed, is it also true that the old must be left out? New is better? My Dad helped raise funds and build the building. When I reached out because my 100 year old neighbor needed help (just visitors would do) at the end of her life (she attended your church as she could) and not one person from your congregation reached out. I would say that your building houses a social club, not a church.

In short, the church (congregation & fellowship) is sound, comforting, healthy, encouraging, non-judgemental, growth stimulating, and a free expression to learn about and worship God.

It has good biblical teachings that are orthodox. Worship is within biblical practice, with good mix of hymns and contemporary worship. Come join our family here.

Alexandra Thierry Dont bring your child here. Shelton being very small leaves you with very little options. Being a Christian church, I thought they would be a great option. But I was very mistaken. First of all, they hardly have any workers and dont seem to be hiring new staff. Meaning there is a BUNCH of kids with only one worker that looks beyond exhausted. Not only that, but damn near half the staff or more are TEENS. Please explain to me why their are teenagers watching our babies? On top of that, my daughters clothing is consistently being "misplaced". Ive picked her up twice without her socks. And my friend lost her sons jacket here with the teacher telling her that they most likely gave it to another parent. It is cold. And we had to bring thus baby home without a coat that never showed up again. Three coats of my daughters have been broken by them rushing to put it on and now cant even be used anymore. One day bringing my baby there,she didnt want to be there. Which never happens. Me being a single mom, baby has been in daycare since 4 months old. And not once has she made it clear that she didnt want to be there. So seeing that reaction, I told the teacher that I had only one apt that day, and after that apt, my day was open. I told her that if my daughter continued to act out not wanting to be there, then to please call me so that I could pick her up early. There was no call. When i went to pick her up, the teacher then told me that my baby had a very rough day the entire day. I asked her why no one called me to come get her, and she replied with "well I told the office to call you and I guess they just didnt take me seriously". What?? So my baby suffered the entire day and not one person called me after I specifically told them to? Then I get a call one day with the owner telling me that they havent received a payment in 2 MONTHS. I receive payment through the state. So after calling the state and finding out there was an issue on the states side, the school called me back. I explained the mistake, and then followed it up the question on "why was this issue not brought to me sooner?" They said they send out invoices. Me being covered by the state, I assumed these invoices were just showing what was paid. As I explained to them. I then told them my daughter has been going to daycare for a very long time, i know the process. Why has no one said anything to me? They said it was the parents job to make sure the payment went through. I then said, actually I did my part by calling the state and providing them with the provider number. If the school did not receive confirmation, they should have immediately called me and let me know this. In the whole 2 years of my daughter going to daycare, not ONE daycare will take the child unless the payment was confirmed. Theyve always made it very clear that they HAVE to have a confirmed payment BEFORE accepting the child into care. So please explain to me why gateway went ahead and took my child for 2 WHOLE MONTHS without confirmed payment? Sorry sweetheart, but no. At that point
