2 /5 FYS Games: I stayed at the hotel for the first time, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. While the rooms were clean and nicely maintained, we were told that checkout was at 12:00 PM, so we stayed up late in the casino, expecting to get a good amount of rest.
However, I was woken up at 9:00 AM by loud drilling noises coming from the wall or ceiling. That went on for about 15 minutes before it stopped. I tried to go back to sleep, but around 10:00 AM, the hammering began and continued non-stop for 45 minutes. The noise was so disruptive that I recorded it.
At checkout, I shared my concerns with the manager. His explanation was that maintenance starts repairs after 10:00 AM because the hotel operates 24 hours a day. But honestly, if Im paying for a nights stay, I expect peace and comfort throughout the duration of my visit, especially during rest hours.
As an apology, I was offered a $50 dining credit for a future stay. But after such an unpleasant experience, it’s hard to understand why the manager assumed I’d want to return at all.
