3 /5 S W: We found this resturant from Google Mapsduring our trip to Astoria so stopby and give it a try as it had a good reviews. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t busy. There are plenty of parking around. The interior is nicely decorated, and the awards displayed on the wall gave a promising first impression.
Service started off well with drinks brought out right away, but we waited about 15 minutes before placing our order, and the food took another 25 minutes to come out. I noticed just a chef and 1-2 servers, so be prepare for some delay. We ordered the halibut and chips, along with a clam dish in red sauce.
The halibut was decent, though not as fresh as what we’ve had in Long Beach. The fries weren’t fresh. The clams were small, and the red sauce—made with celery, tomatoes, and julienned carrots—was an unusual combination to me. The overall flavor was just okay for me.
